Prosper offers great value for investors and savers with zero and low cost funds and some of the best savings rates on the market. The app is straightforward and well designed and I've always gotten prompt, helpful support when I've needed it. So far, I'm impressed.
Prosper has been great for my financial health. I pay no fees, so I keep everything I earn, and the team have helped me manage a couple of stressful situations – e.g. when my pension transfer only partially completed. I got an out-of-hours response with incredibly clear and reassuring steps, something I could never have dreamed of with Vanguard or other platforms I've used previously.
I transferred £45000 to a holding account which was to be invested in a Aldermore fixed term account. Prosper kept my money in the holding account for almost 11 days without investing or informing me of any problems. I contact Prosper via Ibot which put me on hold for someone to explain what was happening. After waiting on hold for half hour I terminated the conversation and promptly withdrew all my money. I would like to know if Prosper received any interest in those 11 days as I certainly didn't, I had the exact £45000 returned to my account. Very poor service all around.
