Terrible support

Terrible support. Email support is useless. Only receive short, text style messages that make no sense even after repeated requests for clarity. Telephone number they give just goes through to office's main reception where they can only offer to take a message for someone to call back at some unknown time.I am simply trying to close my account! I've used dozens of banks and never had such difficulties with such a simple issue.

Update to previous review

Update to previous review, I did finally get the boost part of my savings within a week of my lump sum maturing, this was communicated through email, but would have been less frustrating if the ‘bot’ chat could answer my query in the first place, as email is not my first go to but Prosper itself. Less bot and an understanding human interaction in future would have alleviated stress and perhaps brought clarity.

Think carefully before investing with Prosper

Unfortunately, like others that have posted bad reviews, I have also had a very bad experience with Prosper in receiving my "booster" portion of a fixed interest term deposite that matured on 7th april 2025. My investment was placed with Santander through Prosper and I received the interest from Santander as advertised but it was short of what I was expecting so I rang Prosper on 7th Apr to ask why I was not paid the advertised rate of interest. I also had an impossible time trying to talk to prosper, each time I rang all I got was a receptionest who said she was working from home and the department I needed would get back to me within 24hrs. This did not happen and after numerous calls someone finally rang me back after a few days. They explained that the "Boost" portion of the interest would be paid by Prosper within One calender week, i,e Monday 14th, I took Prosper at there word and waited the full week. This has not happened and on that Monday I rang to complain but again I was told that I would have to wait 24 hrs for someone from the department to ring me back!!! today is tuesday and at the time of writing no one has contacted me. For a bank to treat customers like this is totally unacceptable and unfair. I have lodged an official complaint with Prosper. I have taken time to write this review in the hope that others might think hard before investing with Prosper.THIS IS AN UPDATE:In the interest of fairness -- I have just had a phone call from Prosper and my interest has now been paid into my account - but i should not have been put through all the worry and time to get what is rightfully mine, and I stand by my review.SECOND UPDATE IN LIGHT OF PROSPERS RESPONSEAt least Prosper have owned their failings with regards to communicating with their customers!!as I have other investments with them I shall monitor the situation and should I see an improvement I shall review again with the appropriate "star" rating. I am happy to upgrade this review in the light of there response to that of ***

Tried to speak to someone about the…

Tried to speak to someone about the interest paid on my 6 month fixed term deposit. Interest did not equate t0the advertised rate. Phone numbers not valid. Useless AI on chat that wont put me through to a human. Eventually did get to a human who said they were looking into it then just never replied
