Review Time
Have had the PC operating for more than a week and am well satisfied. On-line ordering to delivery took twelve working days - not bad for an order made on Black Friday with the additional Xmas demand for what was essentially a custom-built built unit. The graphics card was upgraded without incurring extra charges as the original spec was out of stock. The one slight gripe was the on-line progress checker had the order as "awaiting assembly pending parts" right up to the point the courier was outside my door. Highly recommended.
I went for an "Entry Plus Video Editing Computer". After consultation with Sion (very helpful), I had the build tweaked slightly to include an SD card reader, which necessitated a different case. Also went for a better graphics card. Nice build, with no bloatware. I've been using with Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements and have been impressed with the speed. It'll take me some time to make full use of the capabilities of this machine. Very happy so far.
While I did eventually receive my laptop from Punch Technology, within 6 months of getting it it developed an issue. Trying to get this resolved was very though, Punch Technology's communication throughout the process was lacking. There were significant delays in response times, which caused frustration.For anyone considering buying from Punch Technology:It's important to thoroughly test the product upon arrival to ensure it functions properly. I will add (if you can) get extra warrantee because unlike other electronic companies, my experience with Punch Technology doesn't give me any confidence in their laptops. Given my experience with communication delays, it's wise to be proactive in addressing any potential issues.
