I'm thoroughly impressed with Punch Technology's computer build quality; every component feels sturdy and put together well. Despite minimal communication beteewn placing order and delivery, their customer service team was swift, courteous, and incredibly helpful when I inquired about the status of my order. I'm completely satisfied with Punch Technology and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a custom-built computer solution.
Being an amateur photographer looking for a desktop to replace my old laptop for photo editing, I was attracted by the 'Entry Plus Photography PC' by Punch Technology and their good online reviews.Having reviewed the spec and prior to placing an order, I contacted Punch and spoke to Oliver, who provided me with all the answers to my questions regarding spec and delivery etc.I placed my order on 5th January 2024, which was probably a very busy period for the company, nonetheless the unit was delivered within the stated 7-10 working day period.Unfortunately, there was a problem with the unit, the operating system (Windows 11), would not boot-up. I contacted Punch immediately and after some email exchanges I was asked to try re-install the operating system and was provided with an excellent instructional video. This did not resolve the issue and I contact the company, they immediately arranged for their courier to uplift the unit and excluding the time the unit was in transit, it took them only one day to resolve the issue and return it to me.At no time, did I lose confidence in Punch and through my own research, I acknowledged the issue was related to the operating system and not the PC itself. Dealing with their own excellent UK based experts and customer service staff as opposed to remotely based call handling operatives in another country, gave me the confidence and reassurance in the company and was super impressed with their customer service and support, especially that of Oliver, who was brilliant and kept me fully informed of the process from start to finish. Thank you Oliver.I'm now using the PC and I'm delighted.In summary, would I recommend Punch Technology? Most definitely.
Excellent smooth process from requesting some information to placing order to receiving goods.Communication as to order progress and status was also very good.Packaging was very good and delivery by courier was within the time slot advised.Very pleasant experience from start to finish will be happy to recommend Punch on my experience and will certainly be looking to use them again in the future.
Hopefully, mine is a rare occurance and other will not have the same issues.I ordered my PC from Punch Technology on 4th January 2024. The online order tracker advised I was 72nd in the queue. It still says this today (8th Feb). There should also have been an email to state it had gone into build. This was not received.The PC shipped on 18th Jan. but unfortunately the courier (DPD) promptly lost it.A replacement was finally sent on 31st Jan and was delivered on 1st Feb. It was missing the additional case fan I had ordered and the motherboard did not have the DVI-D connector listed in the motherboard specification I had selected (I opted for onboard graphics).I was advised to purchase an adapter lead to make the PC work and the missing fan would be shipped out to me with install instructions.In response I rejected the PC as not matching the spec I had ordered at which point I was offered a converter lead, which I accepted.The lead and fan were delivered on 7th Feb, there were no fixings for the fan and no installation instructions.Internally the Contender case is very busy. It looks like I will need to take the front cover off to install 3.5” hard discs and a 5.25” Lightscribe drive as the CPU cooling fan obstructs access from inside the case. Otherwise the components used are all good quality and cables have been tidied within the case.Suggestions:1. Order status should be updated and automated emails should be sent.2. If there is a change to the specification of a component, the customer should be informed (I might have opted for the more expensive motherboard option).3. When a customer advises missing or incorrect parts. Check, then offer solutions which are not at the customers expense.4. DPD (when they don’t lose the parcel) advise a two hour time slot for delivery and both times were well within it.UPDATE 15/02/24The promised keyboard and mouse have been received - Thank you.The USB issue seems to be just the bottom one, sometimes it 'loses' whatever is plugged in, other times it works fine. The top USB slot appears to work correctly though, so I can just use that.
