Review Time
The machine was built to order but arrived on schedule. It's really well built, very quiet and fast. There was an issue with one of the cooling fans but Oliver (customer support) replied promptly and helpfully and sent a replacement very quickly. I'd highly recommend this company for its products and support.
The build quality is amazing. The waiting time was not. The site states 10 days. Only after diving into details could I find that the company was referring to working days. All of this came down to nothing as I've placed my order on the 25.09 only to receive it on the 12.10. You do the math. After receiving the package, I noted that the RAM was of a different brand. Nobody informed me of the swap.
I bought two Punch laptops at the same time for different roles, both via Laptops Direct. One worked impeccably from the off ... sadly the other did not. There were problems with sound cutting out for no apparent reason. While initial thoughts, including my own, were that this was a software problem (ie more likely to be my fault) the marvellous support team at Punch (Laptops Direct put me straight onto them) did not desert me. The matter took a long time to resolve, but in the end the support guys at Punch got everything working perfectly for me. Jonathan, Oliver, Sean and others thank you all so much - you are an exceptional bunch!!
customer services was very good and the this is my third punch pc. the last one is still going but had to upgade do to not going to windows 11. so far this one very good i use it for gaming and work handles both very well.i have all ways brought them from another company but decided to buy direct this time which is better as i can modify to the spec i wanted.
