Review Time
It was so easy to order from Raylo. Ordered an iPad on a Sunday and it was delivered first thing on the Tuesday. Can't get better than that for service. Highly recommend on using this company as I will be again in the future
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel like I have to say something about Raylo.
At first, everything seems straightforward. The website looks clean, the offer sounds simple, and you assume it’ll be hassle free. But what really matters is how a company treats you when something isn’t perfect - and that’s where my experience completely changed.
When I needed support, the tone felt cold and rigid. Conversations didn’t feel like they were with someone trying to help - they felt scripted and dismissive. There was no sense of understanding, just policies repeated back at me. It genuinely felt like I was being pressured rather than supported.
What bothered me most was the lack of empathy. Life happens. People fall into difficult situations. Companies that deal with contracts and payments know that. But instead of flexibility or even basic understanding, it felt transactional and, at times, intimidating. Almost like the goal was to wear you down rather than work with you.
Afterwards, I looked at other reviews and realised I wasn’t alone in feeling this way. There seems to be a pattern: poor communication, stressful billing issues, and a general sense that once you’ve signed up, you’re on your own.
I’m not writing this out of spite. I’m writing it because if you’re considering them, you should really think about how you’d feel if something went wrong. Ask yourself whether you’d want to deal with a company that feels this rigid when you’re already stressed.
There are plenty of options out there. Personally, I wish I’d chosen differently.
Please, avoid Raylo.
I really liked the concept to begin with it seemed perfect, That was until Reality hit where if you were outwith the cooling off period and like one sometimes does you absolutely dislike the item you have leased, Even if you are 1hour or ten days it’s to bad you owe us 18 x £28.00, plus Raylo get the item back and re- lease it, 14 days is not enough time to discover everything you want to on today’s technology, I really liked the Samsung flip but over time not long after the cooling off period I grew to hate Android, the system is so money oriented adverts pop ups more adverts, Now the fair Review comes into play in My case it’s not all Raylo’s blame to shoulder, I must share the blame equally as I and I do not believe I am the only person who skips through the small print, Therefore I must accept some blame, I never let Raylo Down and paid all payments I was a good Customer and Raylo were decent until they were not, A lengthening of the cooling off period would be a massive improvement on Raylo’s Terms and Conditions.
I have had products from Rqylo for my daughter and not only are they cheaper than going to the regular tech company, the products are in immaculate condition. The options of how long you lease the products allows for working to your budget and the insurance cover provides for any damage or loss. Moving forward I will be using Rqylo for most of my tech needs.
I decided to get a refurbished PS5 from Raylo after weighing up the pros and cons of buying outright etc. The console arrived the following day and I set it up. Unfortunately the controller supplied had a fault and couldn't be used however Raylo (specifically Bradley) offered superb customer service and sent me a voucher to purchase a replacement controller! Really happy so far.
Wife got an Apple Watch she thought on hire purchase. Got the watch read the paperwork and discovered she was only hiring it for a set period then she would have to buy it or return it. Returned it very same day only to get an email back saying it had been used and was not in the same condition. They then took a £99 charge from bank account. Have asked bank for that direct debit to be returned as we believe they are lying and therefore committing fraud. Would advise anyone thinking of using this company . NOT TO.
UPDATE…wife received email saying the charge was for GET THIS “opening the box” that’s right OPENING THE BOX. How the hell are you meant to look at the item without opening the box?
What went wrong? Where can I start? Well it says next day delivery, so I ordered in confidence because my laptop playing up, and I needed one for a huge photography job, for a wedding in just under a week. Everyday I was messaged by dpd to say they would deliver the next day and they didn't, it took a week, and I ended up ruining my clients day because it didn't turn up for a week, in the end I had to drive to the next village to chase down the driver, because once again I got the message sorry we missed you, when all the time I was here waiting and they didn't turn up? It was the worst experience of my life tbh, I lost so much time, sleep, and a £2500.00 job, not to mention my reputation because of the delivery company and their false promises. If I could give zero stars I would. I definitely do not recommend ordering if time sensitive, but if you have all the time in the world, fill your boots. So it was my first ever order with Raylo and definitely my last, unless they switch over to royal mail then I might consider using again. But unfortunately losing my reputation
my time and £2500.00 is going to be difficult to forget.
1 year PS5 rental ran smooth. Late fees a bit much, but late is late, after all. Option to purchase my refurbished PS5 was more than a new one. Chose to upgrade to PS5 pro. Was sent a terribly packaged PS4 Pro and at their request, had changed delivery date. Wrong model. Went through a week of chat. Sent back. Received message asking for £232.42 (their insurance 'excess') because the buttons were broken😂 They literally hadn't even checked what they'd been sent, as it was the returned wrong model and just spammed out a £232.42 'give us money' grift. Which, they were attempting to remove from my account by Direct Debit, no less. I've documented everything for when I send back the PS5 I kept on rental, being too scared to test their customer service again so soon after. Avoid at all costs. Flashy Web portal conceals what they're really up to.
I suggest to anyone that you stay right away from this company.
I have tech with them and they act so caring and compassionate and then leave you to rot. Having a conversation with them is excruciating. 48 hours between messages is ridiculous.
£29 per item for even one day late payment is also absolutely absurd.
They don’t listen and have no time for anyone or anything.
