Very Bad experience with Razorpay…

Very Bad experience with Razorpay Merchant onboarding. I have applied for an merchant account for my astrology website where I sell my consultancy services. I have submitted all my documents like PAN, aadhaar, Business documents, and all. Later, they called me and in the name of proof of profession they want to know that I have any degree in Astrology or not? This makes no sense. My degree doesn't have any relation to my business, and how they ask me for this. Off course, I have that degree, but why did I submit it to them? Do they give me employment?So, If someone opens a grocery store online, then they ask for their graduation or degree in FMCG? That's completely baseless. I have applied for Phonepe, Payu, and CCavenue. They all approved my account, and now I am using them. They never ask me for my qualifications or degree or Certificates. Very Bad Payment gateway company is Razorpay. I will also report them to RBI.

I had a very poor experience with Razorpay POS. The device never worked for UPI payments — the primary mode of payment used by my customers. Despite raising multiple complaints and following up for over 10 months, the issue was never resolved.All I received were generic responses, repeated requests for screenshots, and false promises. My valuable time was wasted on endless phone calls and emails, but nothing improved. No real accountability, no urgency to solve problems, and no respect for customer time.Even after paying for the device, I could not make use of it at all. In the end, I was told the TID was deactivated and a new device had to be applied for — adding further frustration.This kind of service is unprofessional, mentally exhausting, and damaging to small businesses. I do not recommend Razorpay POS to anyone who values timely support and functional service.

Razorpay puts funds on hold

For over a month now, Razorpay has placed our legitimate business funds on hold without any clarity, justification, or resolution—despite us providing all requested invoices, delivery proofs, and business details.👉 When asked for customer confirmations (an unusual and impractical demand for physical product delivery), we still cooperated.👉 When asked to show delivery proofs for multiple orders, we complied.👉 When asked about our suppliers (a confidential business matter), we respectfully asked for the rationale.👉 We received nothing in return but repeated delays, templated replies, and zero accountability.

Pathetic Service

We recently created the account and just needed a small support to delete website from UI which was wrongly added. Actually this option should given to us directly in UI itself.Now last 3-4 days i am following with support team which are incompetent, their only job is to say that 'the technical team is checking the issue on a priority basis and you will get the resolution by 24-48 hrs'this same thing they are saying for last 3 days.Also creating multiple tickets for the same issue and its fully a messPlease think once before opting for razorpay payment service.Now we are stuck and not able to add the live website until this issue is resolvedIssue number : #15449161 , #15426507

Payment Failed but Money Deducted – No Support or Refund

I made a UPI payment of ₹2,004.82 on 24th May 2025 through Razorpay while trying to renew my Hostinger hosting plan. I scanned the QR code and completed the payment using my ICICI UPI ID .Razorpay showed a Payment Failed status, but the money was still deducted from my bank account. It has been several days now, and I have neither received my service nor my refund.What's worse is Razorpay's terrible customer support. Their official support page constantly throws an error: “Please check your internet and try again,” despite having a stable connection. Their support email is non-functional and automatically replies that it's unmonitored. There is no helpline or human support.I’ve attached the payment failure screenshot and Razorpay Payment ID (pay_QYi73fXgvAvDQM), but there has been no response or resolution.This has been a frustrating experience. I urge others to be extremely cautious while using Razorpay for payments. If something goes wrong, you are completely on your own.

Several attempts. Always bad...

I tried to get things set up with Razorpay several times. Each and every time it's been a hassle. The support team is nearly non-existing, it's almost impossible to get answers to simple questions, they just keep repeating the same robotic answers. We really wanted to get out of Stripe and move things to Razorpay, an Indian company. But nope, after 2 months of back and forth with Razorpay, there is no way to move all our payments to this platform... it's a pity because the platform looks great. But the team behind it doesn't.
