Stay away from this company whatever you do! They are so organised and nice until you have paid the money. Then the extra charges come and the lies and finally they just refuse to deliver your removals.They also lie about what you asked of them and literally do not care about anything except screwing you out of more money that you were quoted.
Initial estimated quote almost doubled once confirmed. Booked a 2 man door to door service, 4-14 days.Single person showed up in a van and I was required to help load the van.6 weeks later and my possessions are now not being delivered until I pay another 25% on top of the money already paid, making the cost almost £300 more than the quote.
I used Removals.co.uk to relocate from Uk to Switzerland, I had a very good experience with the Relocation Manager (Michelle) who helped a lot and supported through the entire process. All items where in good conditions at the arrival. Very good price/quality value.

Moved to India from the United Kingdom in the middle of a pandemic, Removals.co.uk made my move simple and easy. There were on time for collection, removed everything without any fuss. Though it took a long time for my things to arrive in India, I think this was due to restrictions imposed as the UK variant of the virus was at its peak during that time. I was worried about my things as it was nearly five months before I received them(due to pandemic), but I was happy when I received them they were all in the same condition as I shipped. Also, the delivery service in India was good and the customs clearance was done on time without any hassle. Once the vessel left the UK, I was constantly kept informed on the next steps, the Indian counterpart took over the case without any hassle. Overall happy with the service.Thanks to Michelle Harris for coordinated my movement, Michelle had been very prompt in responding to all my calls. Michelle made sure things are in place, right from taking my booking until the goods reached me in India.
We recently moved a substantial amount of our home from the UK to Abu Dhabi. Michelle was helpful and patient throughout the process, and always replied to my questions quickly. The packers were very polite and respectful of our home and were in, packed up and gone extremely quickly. Our belongings arrived as predicted and the handler in Abu Dhabi was also very good at keeping us updated as to what was going on with customs etc. Two boxes were missing in the delivery but they arrived the next day at our door without a fuss or the need to chase up. All in all, it was an easy process made possible by the great communication we received throughout. Thank you for making one part of our big move that bit easier.
Awful communication throughout the relocation. Matthew is a very nice guy, which shocks me as he absolutely ignored me. On the day of collection I had to call the shippers to collect my boxes as they cancelled due to not having a proper box for my TV and I almost found myself in the situation of having to vacate the property with my belongings not collected. I never got a call from removals updating me where my boxes where. I was told they were delivering and never happened, losing a weeks holiday, my TV although insured and assured it would be professionally wrapped, the shippers sent a contractor to pick up my boxes and wrapped my £2k TV in a dirty blanket. Change of insurance provider hours before belongings collection. I had to pay 10% of the insured value instead of the 3% originally quoted, giving me no room to look for a better option - not sure about the legality of that. I had to be calling every week for updates. When delivering I was told I would be called when driver on route but instead I was called when driver was at the door. I wasn’t at home so I had to leave the table where I was having lunch at the restaurant to quickly get in the car and go to collect my boxes.I have never received a closure email or close of project or a comment from Matthew after delivery… Although everything arriving in good condition and price being competitive, the process and experience was absolutely horrible. I do not recommend them or if you go with them, set expectations from the start of the process.
Removals and especially Michelle were a dream to work with when we were moving 6 boxes from Switzerland to the UK. Not only was the price point competitive, but the service from collection to delivery was also trustworthy and reliable. Michelle went above and beyond to help us fill our forms etc as we were moving over a Bank holiday weekend. I would have appreciated having a bit more guidance on filling the forms ahead of our move as I felt quite overwhelmed with all that we had to do (in a very short amount of time), but this was a small issue in the larger scheme of things. Definitely recommend.
The removal team themselves were outstanding. The two gentlemen were attentive and speedy. Finding out when my delivery would be, and what time was very complicated and frustrating. I understand the business is cheaper because of the nature of waiting for collections - but I was originally quoted a week before they delivery was “possible”.
My moving experience with Removals.co was excellent from start to finish. I had kept their contact number from previous communications with Kate Sanders and I was so thankful that I had done so. Michelle Harris took care of my move and she was highly efficient and approachable. I felt that my possessions were in good hands and soon after my arrival in South Africa they were delivered to my door. It was a successful and satisfying story!
