Review Time
When moving from Qatar to the UK, I wanted a part of a storage container (as I didn't have enough belongings for an entire one). I received several quotes, narrowed it down to three which were similar in price and went with removals.co.uk due to their quick replies. I really wish that I hadn't because as soon as they had my money, that was when the decent customer service stopped. I had to constantly chase them for information and they would ignore emails. They estimated shipping would take 8-12 weeks. It took 18 weeks! And that was after a lot of chasing them up both via email and phone! They were happy to blame the wait time on anyone and anything else but accepted zero responsibility. Perhaps if they were more willing to communicate then I would have felt appeased by the long wait time but it was so frustrating trying to get any information out of them. I would never use removals.co.uk again nor would I recommend them. On a side note, the goods needed to be delivered to the 3rd floor (which they knew as I had paid extra for delivery to 3rd floor) and they sent one man to do this job. I was shocked as they knew how many heavy boxes he had to carry up so many floors.I urge you- please do NOT use removals.co.uk.
Used removals.co.uk for my move from the UK to Norway and I’ve been incredibly satisfied with the service. Everyone I’ve dealt with have been professional, polite, and responsive. The movers were a 10/10 and made the experience overall very positive! We were a bit worried upon booking because they were so much cheaper than other vendors, but we worried for no reason. Could hardly think the other vendors would have been able to provide a better service!
I moved from the UK to Germany.This was good:-PriceWhat I didn’t like:1. Scarcity marketing about running out of spaces on a container ship (then see 2.2. Late feedback about date of boxes will be picked up (in my case one week before the move of 5 people including 3 kids)3. Very late information when the goods are going to arrive at the final destination (I received a phone call 10 minutes before the truck arrived)
I reached out to removals.co.uk as soon I knew we planned to move to Sweden. As soon as I contacted them Michelle was very helpful in providing quotes and letting my know what paper work was required. When ever there was communication issues or concern with paper work Michelle would get back to me as soon as possible to help. The move went very smooth and I got constant contact from the driver along the way.
I moved four boxes from England to Finland, and I very much appreciate all the help I got from Removals and especially from Michelle Harris. It was a very rushed process, so I do appreciate their swift replies, but I wish all the necessary information was readily available in one document, so that I wouldn't have had to keep emailing separately about everything and then have information spread out in multiple emails, when everything could've been on one document for me to read from the get go. Michelle was always friendly, though, and I did eventually get answers to my multiple questions. I do recommend using Removals! Just be prepared to be vigilant and ask those questions and chase after your belongings! Mine arrived a month and a half after shipping.
Removals.co.uk helped me move my belongings from Scotland to the Netherlands. They were supportive in trying to keep the costs down and the shipment arrived sooner than expected. I was a bit surprised though as some goods could not be taken so I had to make alternative arrangements last minute, and at the last moment I was asked to look up customs export codes for my goods and print labels, which was tricky as everything was packed already. This was partly my own fault, as things were done in quite a rush during the holiday period, but it would have been good to have had advance notice of this.
I have no idea why my experience is so different to all other reviewers. I had my belongings shipped back from Dubai back in March. One box was missing but the removal men acted as though this came as a surprise to them. However, after several months of chasing by me (no communication was instigated by the company) I was told that the package was not received off the ship back in March. I acknowledge they didn't misplace my belongings but this was the worst experience of customer care I've ever experienced & really disappointed that they didn't appear to care at all that my possessions didn't arrive.
