I’m an installer of 30 years a qualified joiner and self employed, I refuse to supply or fit Rockdoor brand for anyone now unless it’s for 3x the price of a normal install , reason being the door generally bubbles cracks or warps causing failure in locking even closing or just generally failing and looking rubbish , customers have accused me of using cheaper products and passing them off as Rockdoor, but like I tell them if I had used cheaper products you wouldn’t be having the problems you are now !! The reason I charge more ? If I can’t talk them out of having a Rockdoor,I explain that when it fails (and a lot do) I have to go through the process of contacting Rockdoor getting them to admit the issue which to be fair they usually do ( tells you something) then when they send the replacement I have to go and refit it at my expense, Rockdoor say they honour the guarantee by sending the new door slab. You have to take the old one off strip the furniture and locks and refit them all back to the new one and rehang it which is a struggle,so you have to pay someone to help. I changed 2 yesterday one of them was the 3rd new slab and I broke the knocker that is supposed to clip off. Yesterday cost me a day of earnings plus paying a helper and buying a new knocker !! Btw this is just 2 that I replaced recently I have another 1 this week which is its 4th replacement! Customer asked for money back Rockdoor refused. Customer is starting proceedings against me because I can’t refund her the £1000 plus she spent she is reluctant to let me install the 4th slab and is waiting on legal instruction
Recently had our new Rockdoor order supplied and fitted by Rockdoor Burnley.Carrie, an asset to the shop was very helpful and very patient. We were able to discuss the varied options without any pressure, until we agreed a color and design. The fitting process was very smooth and we are very pleased with the new door, which feels solid and well suited to the property.We are so pleased we have now confirmed a new order for a replacement back door.
