Buyers be aware and beware! Ruby Lane policy offers no protection for buyers even if the item is falsely or inaccurately described. Buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs regardless of circumstance. In my case specifically at ViaSophia shop, shop owner Devin Rench did not feel compelled to “do the right thing” and pay for return shipping charges and Ruby Lane policy leaves it to the discretion of the seller. Furthermore, seller never answered emails and I eventually had to contact him by phone because Ruby Lane requires returns be handled thru Seller.
I really enjoy the fact that I can communicate with the Sellers. So far, every purchase I have made has gone through without a hitch. And I have been pleasantly surprised to discover items on RubyLane that I can not find other places. Each shop is like your own personal Antique shop where you can speak directly with the owner and work out a price that is acceptable to each of you. I will keep coming back.
