Purchased jewelry from a shop on Rubylane. Item was placed on layaway. With only one payment left, the shop left Rubylane and I was on my own to contact the shop and complete the transaction. I’m hoping the shop honors the purchase, I’m optimistic they will. But buyers need to be aware that when shops pull out, there is nothing Rubylane can do to help resolve an issue. I’ve done a lot of business on Rubylane and have been very happy with my purchases. But after this experience, I’m not sure I’m comfortable with the risk.

I liked the item I ordered and the dealer that sent it to me got it to me quickly and in good shape with appropriate packaging.What I didn’t like was that there was an automatic extra hundred dollars added to my total for insurance . I declined the insurance because $100 was way more than would be necessary to replace the item and because the first hundred dollars of insurance is included without extra cost to the customer anyway normally ! I don’t know why things were set up that way and I hope you will get it fixed !
