Great machine ☺️

I had been meaning to hire one for years, for one specific job,from a superstore very local to me, but kept putting it off!

The machine made very light work of cleaning my stairs in my maisonette (but it did give my arms a bit of a workout.

It was the first time I’d hired one and I’m certain I will hire again as I know how easy it is now.

FYI:
1) I found the locker lock fiddly! (I asked for help from someone nearby)
2) There’s a lever to lift the handle upright
3) If it needs carrying remove the ‘bucket’ (it’s a removable).
4) I needed more cleaning fluid than was ‘advised’.
5) I found changing the pipes over for the tool change quite hard as I have arthritis, but I did manage it eventually 🙌🏻

I had lived with a unremovable stain on my carpet for years… apparently, it was RugDoctor that taught me otherwise! 👏🏻👏🏻

I have previously used Rug Doctor to purchase a rental hire of one of their carpet cleaning machines. First time all went smoothly and I was impressed by the service. This time around, I can not say the same thing.

Monday 9th Feb I received my purchase hire of a carpet cleaning machine, cleaning products and floor drying fan. On receipt, the box in which the carpet cleaning machine was in, was completely saturated. The cleaning products had leaked and were only 1/4 full. The carpet machine was broken. The prongs on the plug were bent and parts of the machine were inside of the dirty water tank. The machine itself was filthy. I called customer services. I was refunded £16 for the cleaning products. I was told that they would send out a new box on Thursday 12 Feb and collect the machine on Friday 13 Feb. The box arrived on said date. However 20 minutes later the courier arrived to collect the broken machine, which I had not yet had time to package. The courier returned the following day to collect the machine. At the time of the original complaint, I was told that a new machine would be delivered on Monday 23 Feb. This did not happen. Even after following up with Rug Doctor customer services and being promised that it would. I logged another complaint and was refunded a further £20.00 and was told that my delivery would be flagged for next day delivery Tuesday 24 Feb. By 17:00 on Tuesday 24 Feb I had not received anything, so decided to call the courier myself. I spoke to a lady, whose name I forgot to take down (my mistake as she was a nightmare all on her own) I asked if my delivery was still on its way and she said “if it’s not there by now I highly doubt it” she then mentioned that it would again be out on delivery for the following day. I asked her if this was for certain, to which she responded “nothing is ever certain I’m afraid”. This morning, I again called the courier and asked to follow up on my delivery, this same lady obviously recognised my voice and put the phone down on me.

Rug Doctor have now refunded me the remainder of my money. So they have made an attempt to rectify the issue. However this was only because I eventually contacted a manager at Rug Doctor who took my complaints seriously.

All in all, a complete waste of my time and energy. And the worst part is…I still need to clean my carpets!

I booked and paid for the attachments to clean predominately, upholstery.
I live 12 miles from collection point and when i unraveled all of the hose, connected it up, found water/ cleaner pouring out of the small hose attached to the trigger.
Time, money just a waste of a morning off work.

Booking the cleaning machine was a breeze

I called to reserve the cleaning machine for pickup at 7am on Saturday, and it was incredibly straightforward. They confirmed the locker code, and I managed to clean the living and dining areas in 4 hours by going over the heavily soiled spots multiple times. They look brand new now! Definitely worth the investment and so easy to do. Highly recommend! 👍

Disappointing experience with the rental

I rented the equipment and initially found it promising, but it ended up consuming an excessive amount of water and solution. Once I switched to the handheld part, it became clear that it was leaking significantly. I followed the instructions and attempted to tighten it, but to no avail. The support line is unavailable for help. I paid £50 for the solution and haven't even completed half of a small house. I can see the potential for this to work well, but I only have tonight to clean and I'm unable to do so.

Two very unclean machines at pickup

I just collected a cleaner and it was disgustingly dirty. I couldn't reach customer support. I needed a cleaner, so I booked another one elsewhere, which was also dirty. I ended up having to clean it myself before bringing it into my home. This is unacceptable; I paid for two dirty machines. I have photos from the pickup showing their condition.

Malfunctioning cleaner

Easy booking and pickup, but machine issues

The booking and pickup process was straightforward. However, the machine had clearly not been properly cleaned by the last user, and the upholstery cleaner valve leaked slightly, requiring me to place a towel underneath.

Filing a complaint about cleanliness

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a machine I rented recently. Upon receiving it, it was extremely dirty, with visible animal hair and a strong odor. I spent nearly an hour cleaning it before I could consider using it. There should be a clear distinction in rentals between machines used in homes with pets and those in pet-free homes. This is a serious hygiene concern for me, especially with a small child at home. I have doubts about the machine's safety and cleanliness. I would like to know how you plan to address this issue.
