In December 2024 I bought a kiritsuke knife from Santoku.co.uk and it arrived quickly, and I liked the quality. So, on the January 8th I ordered another knife and at first it seemed to go fine, until the package “arrived at the destination airport”. From there on, there were no status updates anymore, so I contacted Santoku.co.uk asking about my knife. After a lot of emails back and forth we concluded that the package was “lost” and the Customer Service Representative at Santoku offered me a refund or another knife. Since my experience with them was good I asked for a new knife. From that moment onward the problems started. They didn´t respond to my emails anymore, they didn´t send a tracking code or a new knife and I haven´t heard from them since. My advice is not to buy from them. They take your money, have a lot of nice and friendly words but when something goes wrong, they do not resolve the problems.
Ordered at a few minutes past midnight on the 2nd of February as was waiting for my pensionMy son visited and told me to cancel the order as he had bought me some for a birthday present I messaged them in less than 24 hours of placing the orderNext day got a message saying they would check order status and see if I could have a refund.I checked order status and it said order completed but it does not show shipped. I took a screenshotToday, 5th still showing same status but no email from them. They have no contact phone number and even their live chat is not “live”, you have to wait for them to get back to youUnder the consumer rights act I have a right to cancel. If I do not get my refund I will refer them to trading standardsThe worst customer service I have ever experienced
I just wanted to leave a comment about this fab knife. I have one more of this series (smaller knife) and made an impulse purchase of this knife before Christmas. Very happy with it, great weight, sharp (as these are) and can be used for all cooking purposes, despite what looks a big knife. Highly recommend and based on my other knife, this will last a long long time. Thanks!
The product is of good quality, with a handle that feels slightly slippery, likely due to the combination of resin and wood materials. It’s worth noting that the knife is manufactured in China but made with high-quality Japanese materials. However, the shipping was extremely slow, taking nearly 20 days to arrive after placing the order (considering the holiday period, placed 15dec).On the bright side, communication was excellent, and the customer service team was always prompt and highly effective in resolving any issues.
The quality of Santoku knives is incredible. Made of the best high carbon steel, they are sharp, strong and beautiful to look at. There is a small wait for delivery, but customer support were amazing and reassuring. Definitely my go to place for top quality kitchen knives.
I ordered a whetstone on 2nd of December. Its still not here as of the 19th. I was misled to believe the product was coming from here in the UK. Its not. I got fed up waiting so ordered a proper Japanese Shapton stone which arrived in 3 days. It was half the price of the Santoku whetstone which is a Chinese made stone. Also can't help but think the name Santoku makes you think you are buying Japanese quality products. Guys if you want a good whetstone buy the proper Japanese stuff. Cheaper quicker and no doubt far far better
My husband ordered a knife from you on December 17th. Immediately after receiving our payment confirmation from our debit company and noticing it was all in Chinese writing, we emailed you and tried to cancel feeling we had need deceived, and possibly scammed. We have still received no reply and have contacted PayPal to start a review. Very poor customer service! ZNL39418
