I wish I had read these reviews about self portrait prior my purchase. I bought a dress and I paid 25euros for shipping cost. i want to return it and i have to pay 80 euros extra for shipping costs. Never buy from them again

A company that goes above and beyond

I made a mistake on buying a size which I thought I would diet into for my wedding yes big mistake I hear you say..so technically I was out of the return time, but after a very helpful conversation not only was I able to exchange for a larger size, my outfit arrived 24hours later and I had only posted back the day before. This company went above and beyond..absolutely 1st class. A very rare thing these days. Can not thank them enough..Thank you..

Amazing customer service, they always reply quickly. I wanted a dress that was not available in the EU page and they kindly made it available for me, so really happy with that! It's my second time buying from them and I can't wait to receive my order :)

Beware when returning items from EU to UK!!

Very bad experience with customs duties & tax when returning 2 blouses that didn’t fit from Germany to the UK. I enquired before on how to do this via their Customer Service and the shipping company I used, UPS. I was told it’s at my own cost and I have to label it “British Return Goods - Clothing”. I did as I was told. The items were each 160€. Returns are tax & duty free.UPS ignored the label and shipping documentation, imported the goods as new products and wanted customs and duties of 258€!!’ They looked at the original order and taxed all 4 blouses on the invoice (whereof 2 remained in Germany). As a result, Self portrait refused to accept the parcel and asked me to call back my shipment which I did. When the package came back to Germany I received another invoice of 20€ on import taxes by UPS for this shipment. This was one year ago and UPS still wants this money from me, claiming they imported it all and paid customs to the HMRC and that it is irrelevant if the parcel was returned to sender. The charges are now actually much higher because they are adding fines.Self portrait wanted nothing to do with my problem and that I am in charge as sender. They paid for the 20€ German customs but there was no support. In the end, the returns were picked up by them with another carrier at my front door. I have no issue paying for shipment for returns. However, it is an issue for me when I follow the processes as told - being inexperienced with British returns & shipments - and then have to deal with the mess myself. Why not offer returns at a cost but take over the admin around it as not every customer is a logistics and customs expert.I love their dresses but this experience is holding me back from placing another order.

I couldn’t fault their customer service. I ordered a dress which I needed to exchange. Unfortunately I missed the returns window due to a lot going on in my personal life. Claire in customer service was so understanding and happily exchanged the dress for me just in time for the event.

Certainly disappointingNONE of the dresses fit me and I'm an average size 14.I've never ever tried something similar with any other brandAlso walking into the boutique, customer service was awful and they do not treat you well. It is as if they are doing you a favour if you get to buy a 400 ill fitted dress. Have they hear of a breast cup C? What about silk fabric? Or viscose?Quality polyester for the price and the awful fit - disappointed

Run away !

Quality of clothing which leaves one to doubt. Very strong smell of dye that still doesn't go away after a month. Given the price of €400 I honestly don't recommend it! I bought a dress because the 10% promo code didn't work, they promised to refund me. I NEVER HAD the money. After several exchanges you are made to believe that this has been done but NOTHING. Please note, I strongly cancel the price/quality ratio, you can find much better.
