Still waiting on resolution for a…

Still waiting on resolution for a refund. Ordered three dresses and returned two.They say only one was in the box. This is untrue, both were included, carefully individually wrapped, and with tags. What is the worst thing about this is that my proof of postage now has no value as they have refunded one item. These were expensive dresses and it is very disappointing to spend time trying to resolve this when I have followed their instructions exactly. Having looked at the return reviews I wish I had never bothered, and I will not be shopping with them again neither online nor instore.I find it very odd….I would be interested to know if others have had similar experiences with their warehouse in the U.K.

Don’t press that « order » button you’ll regret it!

Bought many dresses all at once. The quality is so cheap given the price you pay for each piece - around 400-500$ -…The fabric, buttons, sewing… Every single thing is wrong. I can’t believe they are allowed to sell at this price point. Total scam! It’s nowhere near Zara’s quality just to give you an idea. And the return policy? Well just read all the comments! If you’re not in the UK, don’t even try. I can’t believe I got fooled with the pictures and social media. Will never buy from this company ever again.Putting this out here for pp who are wondering before trying. I read the reviews and still ordered! Pls don’t do like me, you’ll regret it. And for whoever is responsible for this company / brand for existing, SHAME ON YOU! I’ve never regretted a purchase this much my entire life.There should be proper regulations when it comes to selling clothing pieces this expensive. Lesson learned.

If I could give this website a minus 1…

If I could give this website a minus 1 star I would. If you want something from this brand, NEVER order from them directly, get it from a third party store like Saks or Neiman Marcus. Their delivery and return policy is the worst. I place an over $1000 order it not only took 3 weeks to received the order, but I couldn’t even return it because they only return to the UK and it will cost me over $200 to return the 3 dresses.

Terrible return policy

Terrible return policy. The dress I ordered was lighter than the picture and didn’t fit properly so I had to return. First, you get charged ridiculous duties and levy charges (in Canada). At this price, the company should include this in the cost at checkout. No prepaid slip included. So you have to send an email to then get a link to address label. Print 3 different slips, fill out a form yourself; to then pay for shipping (because they won’t) and then go to an office to send off. I ended up paying 150$ of my own money to just return a dress. So many companies do better.Just terrible.

I did’t receive my order since 07/06, I wrote to the customer service: they answered me but they didn’t find any solution. I asked to be redounded and I am still waiting for.

Ordered from the website and returned had to pay international shipping costs shipping from US to England which was $72.For return reasons I will never order from them again. How does a huge brand not have a US return location or offer to cover return shipping costs so disappointing.The company recommends to return without the box they ship the garments in to reduce cost it saved me $2. $72 was the cheapest possible option from USPS. If you want self portrait just order retailer that offers free return shipping.

Hello.

Hello.Looking at all these comments (60% of which with a 1* review), I’m starting to be very concerned.I actually like the brand as I have bought 3 dresses over the past 12 months.I’ve however returned 2 items last months as they were tops and I couldn’t actually even close them. 1 of the item hasn’t been refunded and is ‘under review’ as the brand claims it has a smell of perfume. I’ve expressed it’s impossible that it can be the result of me wearing it as i didn’t even zip the top on me.My refund has now been withheld for 2 weeks, I’ve never experienced anything similar with any other brand and this is clearly poor customer service. I’m hoping this gets solved ASAP.

Mediocre clothing for the most uninspiring looks

Have bought so many items from them in the past but the customer service is shocking. I bought a dress last summer and wore it once. I went to wear it again as the weather has gotten nicer and the straps broke. Poor workmanship. They basically told me to f off, no offer to pay for repair or anything. Absolute joke of a company.They replied to state it was 9months ago. I made no attempt to hide the timelines. It was purchased in Aug for a wedding. It wasnt warm enough to wear spaghetti strapped dresses in the winter unfortunately and it came back out in the Spring. Still only two wears. Aside from this, you DID in fact tell me to go away and offered nothing to help repair or replace. Dont lie about things that are easily proveable. Appreciate it doesnt take a ton of intelligence to work in retail however let me enlighten you.. if it doesnt last two wears, there is a manufacturing fault. Self Portrait are the store who found one basic design and copied it for 15years. Spring/Summer 2008 is the same as S/S 2022. You’re one step up from Zara, dont get ideas above your station.

PERFECTION

Well I always buy from self portrait and adore their dresses, skirts, tops and I wear them for years. Whenever I wear them I have the biggest compliments. I feel very pretty in them, This time my daughter and my sister bought for Mother’s Day for me; lilac sequin mesh knit dress and printed mesh rhinestone cutout midi dress. I absolutely loveeee. The cut, the fabric, the quality, the design, packaging. As my daughter says, the fast delivery. Love everything as always. Thank you self portrait. A very happy customer 🌹
