Great product - worth the wait

Had to wait a couple of weeks for delivery but eventually arrived and the fit was great – cant wait to get it in the water.

Warm travel jacket for winter

I purchased the Sharkskin Chillproof jacket for a camping trip during winter.It kept me warm and comfortable during the trip and also did an excellent job of protecting me from the wet weather. Highly recommend!

Terrible customer service and sales process

I ordered a rash vest in the Boxing Day sales which took weeks to come. I returned it immediately for an exchange as the colour was way too bright for me. I received no confirmation that they had received it back. When I contacted them in early March I was told it would be another 2-3 weeks. So end of March , summer is over and no rash vest. These aren’t cheap - so to have spent the money not realising I wouldn’t get it immediately, and to never have acknowledgement of the received return is very poor service. My son has one of the rash vests and it is good quality but I won’t be buying again. There should at least be some indication of the time delay when you go to order or an out of stock notification.

Scam

6 weeks after ordering and receiving nothing I contacted them, they said they had no stock but would get some soon. Waited another 2 weeks, nothing. Asked for a refund, no reply. Had to go through PayPal to get my money back. This company says its Australian but it's clearly not... your lucky if you recieve anything.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Ordered early January and only just received part of my order after several emails asking where my order was. Every time told it would be ready in the next two weeks. I have asked for a refund of the remaining items but won’t hold my Breathe. Shop elsewhere would be my advise.

Ordered a rash vest- haven’t received it

Ordered a rash vest, gloves and dry bag on 31/12/22 and there was no confirmation of shipping and to date have only received the gloves and dry bag - again no advice on shipping. The rash vest being the most expensive part of the order has still not arrived. On contacting sharkskin via email I keep being told it will be ready for shipping in 2 weeks and on my latest contact they stated they would ship my gloves in 2 weeks and since then have not had a reply to me advising I had received my gloves, but not the rash vest. It’s now March 2023 and no sign of my order. It appears they take orders and payments without stock being available. Some genuine customer service which many other businesses offer is non existent with sharkskin. I would be very weary to order an expensive wetsuit or other item based on my experience.

Avoid - order elsewhere

Placed an order on 15 November. Immediately received an email informing me that the item I had ordered was on back order. No indication on the website that the item was not in stock. Unable to get any response from NZ customer service despite multiple emails. Emailed Australian customer service on 6 December and received a response advising me that the item would be ‘available’ in the next 7-10 days. Asked whether ‘available’ means ‘ready to dispatch from Australia’ or ‘delivered to me’. No response as of 9 December. I hope Sharkskin are prepared to be sick of me until I get a refund. Do not shop with this company.Update: the item eventually arrived, two weeks after I needed it. Sharkskin advised me to return it to them for a refund. They signed for the item on 13 January, I’m still waiting for a refund on 24 January.Update: finally received a refund on 27 January. I was advised that the delay was because they have been “overwhelmed with returns.”

Poor experience... again

I have shopped with this company twice and on both occasions I have waited over a month with no communication whatsoever from the company. When I followed up, I am assured that the product is not far away. It is unacceptable to take a customer's money and then hang on to it without shipping the product or advising the status of the order. I asked who I could speak to however they would not provide contact details. I have got refunds on both occasions and I will shop elsewhere in the future.
