Terrible. They use every trick in the book to try to deny your claims. Their terms are filled with exceptions where they will pay you nothing if you don't follow their specific rules. For example you can't ship a package that has logos on it at all - ridiculous. Basically a scam company. Avoid at all costs.
Don't dare put anything on your box or envelope that has a company logo on it or they'll turn your claim down. Completely ridiculous saying that logo tape "alludes to the contents of the package" and therefore the claim is turned down. Such crap. UPS damaged the box and product plain and simple. Ship your stuff in plain boxes and envelopes if you want any chance of being covered by this insurance.
I sell through etsy.com, shipsurance has been incredible tool for packages that are not insured through USPS, the claim process is super quick and easy to submit, they are just wonderful as you can actually talk to a real person in regards to your claim I have to say that this company is very professional I will continue to purchase Shipsurance Thank you for making things right for me and my customers.
We’ve used shipsurance a lot over the years with Shopify. Now I wish Shopify would change carriers. Shipsurance puts forth so many delays anymore, even forcing you to wait for postal services to complete investigations that take MONTHS. Customers are glad and we all enjoy a false sense of security that we have insured packages UNTIL something goes wrong and they have to wait 20-40 days to file a claim, than 2-8 weeks for postal investigations. Unreasonable delays and we have to refund in advance of claim approval just to be sure customers aren’t angry at the incessant delays. Dear Shipsurance, If we buy coverage and wait the required long time to file a claim, pay the dang things out and don’t make us stall the customer even longer - FOR **MONTHS** We hate the experience now and are actively testing other insurers like Route.Shipsurance doesn’t care about your customers, and don’t care about your business and the consequences of stringing customers out for months to get a resolution. They only care about putting out as many roadblocks to paying claims as they can manage, for their own bottom line.
I have had three claim submitted to shipsurance via Pirate Ship and each time after making me jump through hoops to provide all their required info….even though a simple tracking search can show that my items were never delivered to my customers…I never received any compensation for the lost merchandise.
We've been using Shipsurance for years for our business and are very happy with the service. Recently we had an international UPS package that was supposed to arrive 3 weeks ago but UPS lost it and would do nothing about it. They don't answer any emails/phones from sender/recipient, left us helpless. I'm so glad that I bought the insurance with Shipsurance. I got the money back from Shipsurance the very next day after we filed the claim! I'm so impressed by the great service Shipsurance provided! I will recommend Shipsurance to anyone!
