Extremely dissatisfied of HobbyLobby.com. I received poor customer service when I asked for a replacement item. The item was not In the shape of what I paid for it. I am unable to find a store that carries this item to switch it out. I wish they were thoughtful and had selected a better item to send to me in the first place.I will not be ordering online from them again!!
I wanted to express my disappointment with Hobby Lobby’s online experience. I will NEVER shop at Hobby Lobby ever again, and I will tell as many people about the poor customer service I received.I shopped on their website for fabric. I found some that I liked, and since shipping was a flat rate, I added 2 small elastic bundles for $1.99. After my card was charged, and after they had shipped the elastic, I got an email that said I won’t be receiving my fabric, I won’t have any other option for this purchase, but HEY, we didn’t charge you for the fabric. BUT I did have to pay full price for shipping that elastic that I could have picked up in the store. (It probably cost them $1 for shipping this little thing of elastic). I was never given the option of declining the rest of my purchase. They needed the sale that bad, apparently.So I called customer service. I left a message the first time around after being on hold for 15 minutes. Of course, nobody ever called me back. Later in the afternoon I called, and was told no credit, coupon or refund for me! I asked to speak to a supervisor, and was given a voicemail. Guess what – I’m STILL WAITING for supervisor Tonya to call me back. I will be shocked if she does.So, it may seem like a little thing to Hobby Lobby, but due to the lack of service and care (they could have created a life-long customer), I will get more than $7 worth out of telling everyone I know why I would never shop at Hobby Lobby again.
I feel as though prices are really jacked up at Hobby Lobby. Maybe they figure everybody will use the coupon. They don’t accept Michael’s coupons either (Michael’s accepts theirs).Their art supplies are low quality. Barely any professional caliber merchandise, mostly crafter.I like the fabric and notions department as there are very few fabric stores left.Hate the huge supply of cornball sayings preprinted on signs and other products. Who buys that crap?
I LOVE my “HOBBY LOBBY” I just wish I didn’t have to drive so far to get there!😖. I’m always impressed with their quality of merchandise & the unique items I’ve found in the past! If they were around when I 1st purchased my home, I’d have bought EVERYTHING fm them!🥰. I can buy crafts, home decor or holiday items they have it all. As previously stated the ONLY drawback is it’s over an hr away.😖😖😨
Love this store, not fond of the prices. But if you need unique, this is where to go. One thing I noticed recently is that the quality of some things are outstanding, and others where quickly made. I'm a hobbyist wood turner so when I saw their wood vases I was saddened by the quality. Whoever made them didn't clean there edges or tool marks. They whipped them out with no time to perfect. I get keeping it rustic, but rustic doesn't mean sloppy. Some of the openings weren't even centered! Okay, rant over. But most hobby lobby items are great. And they always have a 50% off coupon online, so that evens out the price.
