i live in a 60 year old council house…

i live in a 60 year old council house and stirling council gave the window renewal contract to sidey as our double glazing was old ,draughty and you could hear conversation from the street with all windows closed. i was nervous about getting all new windows and back door due to recently redecorating and having new laminate floors ,doors frames and skirtings. i shouldnt have worried as the whole two bed house with 8 windows and back door was complete in a day and no damage to wallpaper etc. absolutley amazing workmen, who worked very hard and constantly cleaned after themseves. i cant rate this company highly enough they have done a brilliant job and the new windows are great, can no longer hear street sounds and no more draughts. so impressed, a great big thank you for all your hard work.

Non-existent customer service.

Non-existent customer service.Yet another complaint that we feel we must make re. Sidey, Perth. Good quality material, BUT non-existent customer service/care, ignoring customers’ wishes/complaints/phone calls. Salesperson proudly announces that he was promoted to a *senior* position, so we thought we were in good company, we were wrong. A £30,000 worth of project: glass porch & dormer window frames to an old farmhouse, plus downpipes on the whole outside wall. Workmen arrive on site with extra number of downpipes, obviously with the intention of setting them up, but we were surprised seeing them taking the pipes back with them. Salesperson claimed that 2 plastic downpipes ( 2 x £10!) that we thought were part of the deal, were actually NOT in the initial quote. So why did the workmen bring them to the site?! Despite phone calls during several months... the salesperson never came to see us re. this, only claimed *repeatedly* that the pipes – the workmanship worth maybe £100 ? – were NOT part of the deal. Even if not, we would have paid the minor £100 (of the total project of £30,000!) and would have liked to talk about further projects! A senior salesperson of a reputable company should have asked the clients: what can I do for you? how can I help in the situation to make it better? He never did. The work manager assigned to our project for ca 4 months never made attempts to contact us, the clients, he only came to meet up with the workers. Isn’t it in the *work manager’s job description* to keep BOTH customers and workers happy? However, on a happier note, we had a particularly good experience with one of the subcontractors, NOT with Sidey’s own workers. Not happy. Customers in Perthshire.

Over the moon.!

We have had complete satisfaction with both replacement windows and door & also a sun room which has given us a completely different aspect to the back of our house. We felt very comfortable leaving everything to them & felt happy with the advice when planning it at the start, We didn’t have to wait long for work to start or being continued by very competent, courteous workmen. We would, & have, recommended Sideys to anyone & have great delight showing our new room & windows to friends & family. Thank you SO much Sidey.,,,,,,,David & Judy Sayer

Minus 1milion stars do not use this company

Minus 1milion stars. Would never ever recommend this company. Fitted my windows in 2020 nd now it's 2022 I am still awaiting 5 replacement windows for scratched bigger than 4 inches on the windows. One frame needed repaired as they was a chunk out of it, did they fit a new frame no they sent a window dr who just filled it. Terrible window fitters, who wouldn't even get out and start work, lost my curtain fittings. Never replaced them, I'm out of pocket with having to buy a new pole, and the carelessness of the workmen that told me they had refitted the original metal pole n ends and it was safe, for it to come flying down and just miss hitting me leaving a dent in the white plastic window sill. Tore the bedroom wall paper and stuck it back down with huge globs of silican. The amount of scratches to units, plastic is terrible and you broke the plaster n tiles on my kitchen wall sent out a no tiler to fix it and instead of grouting the tiles they stuck silicon stuff in them and 2 year layer they look awful. The noise level coming through the windows is terrible. I even messaged yourselves about this and got no reply. Now your going to say its commercial and you are retail. But you are the same company and must take responsibility for your workers, windows etc and the stress you cause people like me. I would expect the windows fitted to the house I live in to be fitted in the same way to someone else's own home.

replacement patio doors

I have had replacement patio doors fitted and all staff have been extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The workers have done a perfect job and kept everything tidy which you can’t say for a lot of other companies! 10/10 would recommend I can’t fault them!

Workers were very professional

I just recently had all new windows and doors fitted at my property and can honestly say the workers that had fitted them could not have done a better job! They kept everything neat and tidy, could not fault them one bit.

Rude dude

Was meant to get new windows in my house. Expected to arrive at 8am, they arrived after 9am. They were particularly antagonistic and unfriendly from the start. When they requested entry one man in particular was not wearing a mask. When he was asked to wear one he said: "I do not wear a mask" when he was ask why he said "it was none of your bloody business" so we sent him away and got in touch with the site manager, who drove all the way from Edinburgh to tell us that "unfortunately, he's self employed." Absolutely terrible experience, you would have a more pleasant time grinding stones into sand and turning that into a window.
