Review Time
I had a very disappointing experience with this company. They advertise discounts of 30%–70% off, but the price I was quoted was nowhere near that range. When I questioned it, I was told I would need to book nearly a year in advance to get those rates—which was not made clear in the advertisement.
Even more frustrating was the $200 gift promotion for first-time callers. I called, confirmed I had never contacted them before, but the $200 was not applied to the quote. When I asked the representative to include it, she said she couldn't and claimed I should have mentioned it upfront—despite having just asked me if I was a first-time caller. Instead of owning the mistake, she shifted the blame to me and then offered to apply the $200 to a future booking, which completely contradicted the "first-time caller" condition.
The representative was more focused on making excuses than providing honest customer service. I also find it hard to trust a company that hides behind excuses like "we can't edit the system" rather than taking responsibility and doing right by the customer.
I booked international Business Class tickets through Skylux Travel expecting a premium service experience and professional support. Instead, when a serious issue occurred, I was left completely on my own.
WestJet denied my family check-in despite our timely arrival. We were forced to purchase last-minute replacement tickets at significant personal expense. While Skylux handled the emergency rebooking, they provided no meaningful assistance in recovering the costs caused by the airline’s failure.
Once the replacement tickets were flown, Skylux treated the matter as closed — even though the original service was never delivered. There was no accountability, no ownership, and no real advocacy on our behalf.
After speaking with others and reading additional reviews, I now understand why Skylux is often criticized for poor customer service when problems arise. Unfortunately, my experience supports that reputation.
If your trip goes perfectly, you may not notice an issue. But if something goes wrong, do not expect strong support or proactive resolution.
I would not book through them again.
I am a 70 year old lady who has not traveled out of the US. I called August and he was extremely helpful, kind and patient with me. I had a very good experience with him and hope my trip is as great as his service was to me! Thank you August for your patience, I would recommend you to anyone!
I have used SlyLyx fka TravelLux several times now. My last experience with Zackary was superior, as always. He was able to get us wondering flight rates with Business Class on the way out with hotel stop over in Istanbul and economy on the way home. They are truly experts in the travel world!

What was said isn’t true and skylux added at least $1000 to each ticket for the exchange fir a total of 3k that if I would have booked through the airline it would have been less then 1 k - I gave the quote from Turkish before and after and the cost to Hamburg vs Rome what I changed to was even less
I booked my flight through SkyLux Travel, and due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to change it. While SkyLux followed airline rules, the total fees I was charged were far higher than expected — over $1,000 more than if I had booked directly through Turkish Airlines. This caused significant inconvenience and frustration.
I reached out to SkyLux to request any goodwill adjustment or consideration, given the situation, but they said they had fulfilled their role and no further action would be taken.
Even though the agency was following policy, the lack of flexibility and the unexpectedly high cost made what should have been a simple flight change unnecessarily stressful. I hope others are aware that booking through an agency can sometimes lead to much higher fees than booking directly.

While I acknowledge your position, I am disappointed with the overall experience and how this matter has been handled. As a result, I will not be booking with SkyLux Travel again in the future.
I also believe it is important to share honest feedback about my experience, and I intend to leave reviews reflecting the service I received. I always prefer to resolve matters directly and amicably, but unfortunately, I do not feel that a fair outcome was reached in this case.
