Review Time
Scammers and thieves. I have not used their product once, not even during the free trial. On July 18th 2024 I saw a $1 charge from them on my PayPal with the status "canceled" next to it. I thought it was in fact canceled. Fast forward one week, on July 25th they charged me $108. I only found out about the charge on August 5th, and immediately wrote to them and demanded a full refund for the product I did not need and had not used. They refused bc supposedly I agreed to their T&Cs. They use dishonest tactics to scam you out of your money, beware!! there was no email about the free trial ending, nothing. I'm disputing the charge with my credit card company, and I'll use all these reviews as evidence for my claim.
As a result of an oversight on MY part, because I had thought I had 14 days free trial, when in fact it was only 7 days, I failed to cancel my annual subscription before the £81 was taken from my account. I only realised two days later.I hadn't used their services during the free trial period, nor in the two days when my paid subscription was active. I wrote to explain that I didn't need a subscription and asked if they would be kind enough to refund me. At first it was pointed out ~ quite rightly ~ that I had ticked their Terms & Conditions. I fully accepted that the oversight was mine and asked again if they would refund me for a service I wasn't going to use. A few minutes later I received an email saying I'd been fully refunded.I was most impressed and very grateful for this accommodating and sensitive customer service when the error was entirely my own.

Good, prompt customer service. Website sign up process needs some minor tweaks to make it more user friendly. Only just signed up to the free trial for our business so can't comment yet on the resources.And for anyone about to complain about their card being charged after the free trial - read the Ts & Cs before signing up. That's what they are there for...
This is great to use for quick and easy things--but it is pretty limited. I tried the pro's free trial (and cancelled it afterwards), but still got charged for it. I reached out to customer service less than 24 hours after receiving the charge, which resulted in them refusing to refund me due to the "Terms of Service". Yes, not everyone reads the terms of service, but this specific instance was a matter of charging me DESPITE me cancelling the subscription prior to the renewal date, and I had only used it for one thing at the time. I am only writing this now because I wanted to use it again, but after looking at and hearing some reviews that talked about similar experiences, I decided to not use it and share mine as well. Please be careful when using it and purchasing the pro version (if you want your money back). The customer service is horrible!
I'm leaving this review as a french speaker. I'm totally satisfied of Smallpdf client/customer service. I had misunderstood and they were really for of compassion and understood me and fully helped me. I highly recommand working with this company and their services.
