Very smooth change over from O2 to Smarty , ported my number without any hassle at all , I would reccomend them for a great budget friendly mobile provider , the service has been fantastic with no connection problems with calls or data
Overall a five star review.
Awful network I work for a Library and we’ve been recommending people moved to this network and I probably got about 15 people to switch automatically every single one of them have been having problems. I then didn’t have my auto renew on so I’ve gone from 80 GB allowance a month to 8 GB.
They have no compassion, and I’ve just had problem after the problem with them so we will definitely not be recommending this network going forward
Been requesting a PAC code for over a week to be told everytime I speak to customer service there is a delay will take 5 working days. A week later still been told there's a delay and will be 5 working days. You will receive an email once your number has ported over for us to generate a PAC code. Funny thing is the number ported over to smarty mobile within 24 hours of me giving them a PAC code to take my number to them.
Customer service operators are just speaking from a script saying once your number has ported over you can request your PAC code.
Avoid this company at all cost. Just wanting money.
They will then reply to this with the same message saying that saying that they will contact the complaints department but never heard anything from them.
Had to contact complaints department to get it sorted. And low and behold withing 2 hours of speaking to complaints department was sorted. Don't use Smarty just want your money and don't want people to leave so cause as many obstacles as they possibly can to get it to run into another month contract. AVOID AVOID AVOID
It was so easy to switch from O2 way way cheaper and the service i recieve seems to be just as good so far. Had no issues on my holiday abroad. Im impressed and have recommended my friends switch too!
I signed up 9 months ago for just £6 and got a boosted deal of 12GB per month instead of the standard 5GB.
The App works well but constantly logs out and doesn't remember login details.
With Vodafone and Three merging there is very good UK coverage.
I only switched because I found a company offering 20GB (instead of 15GB) for the same price, albeit with a credit check.
I have just transitioned to this service and I’m really pleased with everything. They notify me each month when my payment is due and advise to reach out immediately if there are any issues. Overall, I’m happy with all aspects of the service, and it offers significantly better value compared to others. Definitely a 5-star experience for me!
I feel confident in my experience with the service. Since I began using this provider, which has been around 3 to 4 years now, everything has been straightforward with no unexpected costs. While my Wi-Fi speed could be improved, currently ranging from 5 to 11 Mbps, it still surpasses what I experienced with the two other providers I've used before. I suppose I just reside in a challenging area.
I switched to this service from another provider due to their competitive pricing. After transferring my number, I couldn't receive texts or calls. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue over a month, I still faced problems. This led to difficulties accessing my bank account. Although the support team made efforts to assist, it seems there are significant issues with their SIM cards and network. The data connection was poor, making it hard to use the internet on their 4G. I appreciate the team's attempts to help, but waiting over a month for a resolution is unacceptable. I have now moved on to a different provider.
Edit after reply:
The problem is that your digital only service is terrible!
I was quite happy with Smarty for the last couple of years until I had occasion to contact customer support.
There is no option to speak on the phone, only webchat and email.
On two occasions over the last few months I have had a webchat. Having got past the awful bot, I was connected to a real person.
On both occasions the length of time between responses was ridiculously long.
I was constantly asking "are you still there?" etc. both times the chat timed out while waiting and had to be reconnected.
I have now obtained PAC codes for me and my wife and have started the process of switching to Tesco Mobile.
A phone call with a real person was all that was necessary to sort out the transfer.
Smarty get customers because their prices are low, but if they want to keep those customers they need to do something about the quality of their support!
