Review Time
Since 4000 chars was not enough, this review is a continuation of my review of sister site BetOnline.ag. Please read that review first as this review continues that one mid-paragraph.
... At that time, I was explicitly told BO & SB were distinct companies and there no restrictions playing on the same tournament (outside of poker) on both "brands". There are plenty of sites which pool together casino tournaments and/or progressive jackpots and/or use similar software yet remain distinct companies. BO later said the rule change was to prevent "abuse". There was no way to collude in their casino tourneys, and a higher finish on a second entry would just move down the payout on your first entry. Other tourney players' prizes were not moved up in response to my disqualifications.
A corrupted version of BO's rules was later applied against me. BO ruled retroactively that if you play tournament A at BO and tournament B at SB, they can nullify the winnings on either and nullify the next entry you've earned to their Ultimate Spin-off tourney.
SB is shorting me another way. I was literally minutes from completing a casino bonus for a $2000 max win when the bonus unexpectedly expired. The mislabeled expiration date clearly stated 11/20/20, yet it expired on the 19th. Rollover was more than 98% complete. I showed SB a clear screenshot of the bonus expiring at a balance of $3500.50 with another screenshot showing how little playthrough remained and the expiration date. SB disputed none of the facts but refused to do anything prior to a complaint to SBR. Afterwards, they issued a "replacement" $1000 casino bonus with $50000 in slot playthrough remaining and 2x max win, worth maybe $300. I told SB this was unacceptable and I let the bonus expire without play. I've still collected none of that $2000.
Finished tourney on 1/17/2022 with name clearly showing 2nd place ($750) more than minute after tourney finish. Instead, credited $500. BO took down leaderboard and refused to substantiate 3rd place finish, claiming they needed to protect the anonymity of the other players (despite the fact handles were anonymous). This was less than a day after the tourney ended.
Years ago, BO/SB ran tournaments on a slot called Fruit Loot. After 10,000+ spins I became suspicious, so I tracked the results of my next 43,000 spins. Online, the RTP is listed at 96.0% to 97.17%. Within the slot, it said "Tournament version theoretical RTP 110%". My observed RTP was ~72%. Too small a sample size? This slot had very low volatility. Top payout is only 250x, and I've observed that top payout only once. Had I achieved this top payout 10x, observed RTP would only be ~77%. Frankly, it was rather uncommon even to get a 40x win. Other players were doing no better. These tourneys drew hundreds of players. What kind of scores were put up? You started at 250 and could usually get daily top 10 with ~1400 and could often win with 2500-3000. Even the premier $50,000 to $100,000 tourneys typically saw a top 10 between 2750 to 5000 despite starting at 500 chips. Blackjack tourney scores were 3-4 times higher, same # chips + similar participation. Later, after tens of thousands more untracked spins, I saw no general difference.
In 2024 bought max entries to SB and BO NFL survivor pools. In week 2, SB locked me out of being able to make picks. I had gone to chat support in advance and gotten explicit permission that I could play at each site. SB's later justification was that I was no longer "eligible for promotions".
Periodic failures to honor promotions.
Overall, my experience has been good. I've tried some parlay bets on the platform, which are definitely more challenging to win. I've lost all six legs of my parlay so far, and I'm not quite ready to place more bets just yet. However, I'm planning to come back with more knowledge and a better strategy. I'm confident I can eventually win a significant parlay. Starting in April, I intend to place weekly parlay bets of $100 until I hit a winning one. Looking forward to the future of sports betting!
I really want to rate them a 4.5. My main concerns are the lack of open parlays and the inability to buy points on parlays. If you primarily bet on parlays, this might not be the best fit for you. However, the service is excellent; even the automated customer support usually meets my needs without requiring human assistance. Overall, they excel in every area except for parlays—I really need the option to buy points and leave a spot open occasionally. Nonetheless, there are other platforms available for that. I would certainly recommend including this one in your options, as they offer great rewards and bonuses, particularly their impressive rewards program.
The sports betting platform is very intuitive, and I enjoy the available casino games. One of my favorite aspects is the live betting feature for horse racing, especially during events like the Derby. I'm grateful for the opportunity to bet on such races. I'm sure there are many other advantages this platform provides, so I recommend giving it a try. Thank you.
