I feel scammed by the company TECH FORCE SQUARETRADE in Puerto Rico, which handles SQUARETRADE ALLSTATE insurance claims... they just delivered a device that is not the same as the one I sent them and the one I received is even of less value.-----------------------------------------Me siento estafado por la empresa TECH FORCE SQUARETRADE en Puerto Rico, que maneja los reclamos de seguros de SQUARETRADE ALLSTATE... simplemente me entregaron un dispositivo que no es igual al que les envié y el que recibí es incluso de menor valor.-----------------------------------Actualización 3 de junio de 2025Satisfecho con la respuesta y atención de mi caso por parte de SQUARETRADE ALLSTATE luego de leer mi reseña en ésta página. I bought something on ebay that I am returning so I contacted squaretrade:allstate to get a refund. The phone number they provide just sends texts to use the website, which I couldn’t use because it wasn’t the timeframe yet. I did chat, the only option. I had the person person ‘Hassan’ who basically ignored me or sent messages that said he didn’t receive information when it’s right there in the chat. Then without a word he switched me to another agent after 1hour and 36 minutes. ‘Taha’ was able to help me, but at first they told me they had finished helping me and if I needed anything else when they hadn’t done anything. All in all it was 1hr and 44minutes. I find this appalling and ridiculous. My only guess is they train their employees to ignore people and hope they leave in frustration. I will never use them again and I’m also giving feedback to costco because I will no longer buy items from them that need a warranty if they only use them.ps- their response is a lie. there is no way to talk with someone on the phone. It’s a phone tree response that always ends with them asking to text you;either to chat or a link to the website. They also stalked me after I posted this because I think they want to convince me to take it down. The guy called 3xs and emailed 2xs. I told him I have no desire to speak with him and to better train their employees.
A short circuit/malfunction caused a burning issue within my microwave. I filed a claim on my extended warranty that I have through squaretrade. A service tech came out to look at it and said it cannot be repaired but you will either get the microwave replaced or reimbursed as a result. After a few days and an additional follow-up, we found out that the claim was denied. The reason made no sense because they said the reason was physical damage but the malfunction caused the damage. I am extremely upset and don’t know why they call it a protection plan.
