How dreadful is this process! It is circular. I cannot file a claim or register an item. It is horrible!!!! I can't remember which email I used when I purchased the item from BigLots. Biglots is out of business but I thought the warranty should still be honored. I can't even get to a chat without get thrown back into a circle. Very frustating.
I purchased a vacuum cleaner from Walmart in 2023. I also purchased the protection plan thru All state. In May 2025 my vacuum started acting up. I filed a claim on 5/15/25 to date I haven’t received a replacement or my refund. Everytime I contact cs only to be told I’ll hear them within 1-2 business days. It defeat the purpose buy protection plans on items purchased because you ain’t getting no help. This too much BS. Customer Service needs improvement to deal with customer claims expeditiously Angry customer
I have purchased several SquareTrade policies over the years but have never had a claim until now. I purchased a GE Profile Ice Maker for $524.00 and a SquareTrade Policy for 99.99 + tax on Feb. 29, 2024. On June 21, it quit. Went through the recommended steps and it still does not work. I went online to enter a clain, then called. I have made 7 phone calls, called the retailer, NFM, and called GE. GE said it was unrepairable. Sent me an email to document it and have yet to get a resolution from Square Trade. My latest contact with them said that their "back office was reviewing my claim." will NEVER buy one of these policies AGAIN!Update June 27:Received phone call from Sqyaretrade resolution team member. Wanted to know specifics about my experience. Told me he was footing claim for reimbursement for total unit price. I appreciated the response.
Camera was sent over 10 business days. I called square trade multiple times, I received no information. Speak to someone overseas, all what they did was just sent an email.. Please don't purchase this for any complicated electronics - it is a joke
I bought a refurbished phone from ebay that turned out to be crap. I have a warranty via squaretrade. I went thru the steps of registering, gathering all the info to submit but, lo and behold the file claim page wont load. Every other page has loaded today. How convenient for them if people can't file claims because their website is crap.
Continuation from May 2025.So here we are again. Dryer is dead. Already uploaded all of the information, warranty, purchase date and what ever they wanted. Now Allstate is convinced that the dryer is a washing machine, regardless of receipts stating it is a dryer. Serial number on the machine with the model number states it is a dryer. But alas it is only a washing machine to Allstate. We have been offered a pick of several new washing machines to choose from, but we have a dryer.Now Allstate wants pictures of receipts and warranty information, serial numbers and model numbers which they already have.So after several weeks of back and forth communications between Allstate and myself. The latest communication from Allstate is as follows. Thank you for contacting Allstate Protection Plans .Please give us a call at your earliest convenience as there is new information regarding your claim. If you have any questions, please contact us by calling (877) 927-7268 Thank you,Allstate Protection Plans So we contacted them and they have news on our Washing Machine. It is not a Washing Machine it is a dryer. Now they want all the receipts, serial numbers, model numbers again.So to remove ourselves from any more confusion, drama or rehashing of already submitted information over and over again. We simply threw the dryer out into the trash. Problem is taken care of.
I would give negative stars if it was an option! I purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Home Depot along with a 5-year protection plan from SquareTrade (Allstate Protection Plans). When the dishwasher failed just over two years later, I filed a claim and followed every step they asked — including three separate technician visits.Each time, the issue was diagnosed as a motherboard failure. But instead of resolving it, SquareTrade kept sending unprogrammed replacement parts, leaving me without a working dishwasher for over six weeks.Then — after the third visit, which triggered their own "No Lemon Policy" (meant to guarantee a replacement after 3 failed repairs) — they suddenly voided my claim due to a technician noting new rodent droppings that were never present during the first two visits.This was clearly a tactic to avoid reimbursing me under the lemon policy. I provided detailed documentation, appealed the denial, and followed up multiple times — no one responded. SquareTrade/Allstate is using irrelevant excuses to deny legitimate claims and is not honoring their own warranty terms.I’ve now filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the California Department of Insurance, and the Department of Consumer Affairs.If you’re thinking about buying a protection plan from SquareTrade or Allstate — don’t. You’ll pay for coverage they have no intention of delivering when it matters.
