I went to the Bayfield Street , Staples location in Barrie to print a few pages of Manulife travel insurance. The email document attachment was password protected. I was advised to use the self serve printer. I was unsuccessful. I returned to the service desk and was told to try again. Twice I was charged .21 on my cc, for a blank printed page. Again I returned to the service desk. A different rep checked my document on his computer, I provided password and he stated I would need to rent their computer- paying per minute of use, then rent printer paying again per page. No instructions or assistance. I asked if he could do it for me and I would pay. He refused. Both representatives were extremely unhelpful, and obvious in their avoiding to give assistance. After 40 minutes, I gave up and left. I went to a Georgian Printshop and the printed it for me , 2 copies of the actual card for $6.00. It took less than 5 minutes. I was thrilled with their professionalism and willingness to help! I highly recommend this business for any business or personal print jobs, big or small!

Bought a new samsung phone at staples on Nov 2 2025. Asked if they could help me set it up. No way unless I financed it. I spent $500 for a phone on sale that they tried to charge me full price. Got that figured out and when I asked if I should throw my old phone out was told sure they could do that for me. Thank god I kept it as I had to transfer all my contacts and stuff from me old phone and needed it to be beside my new phone. No help or knowledgeable feedback. No customer service what so ever. I purchased a phone 4 years ago at best buy and they did everything for me while I waited and it was on sale as well. They proved they want your business. Staples could not have cared less. I have spent many hours setting up my new phone and googling everything that has helped me. I am a senior and not the most techy to do this. No customer service at Staples unless you finance. What crap. I will never purchase anything from them again. This was the Owen Sound Staples and going forward it will be Best Buy for me. Apparantly they want business not Staples.

Made an order for medical face masks…

Made an order for medical face masks for my kids.( I have terminal cancer so it keeps me safe from colds etc) Staples was one of the few places with stock. 2 day delivery according to their huge ADS. A week goes by and no delivery without any contact other then the initial acceptance email. Look up my order and it had been cancelled. No explanation, no contact of any type just cancelled. Not impressed!

The most incompetent retailer I have…

The most incompetent retailer I have ever come across. I ordered two items online. I received barebones information by email about the delivery. Turns out one of the packages needs a signature. I'm not home, so I ask for it to be taken to the local store, where I can pick it up and sign. They refuse. They hold my package hostage and tell me it will be delivered the next day at the same time. The next day, they don't show up all morning and then respond, "Well, it's actually between 8 am and 8 pm. And someone will need to sign, and if you don't like it, you can ask for it to be returned to the warehouse for a refund." And when asked why the package couldn't have been delivered to a local store yesterday, nothing but silence. No wonder these Canadian retailers are going out of business.

Terrible Shipping

The stores are decent, but never order online for delivery. Their website touts next day delivery on just about everything. Upon ordering, I am always given a delivery date for the next day. Well, it seems to take then at least a week to ship most items and another several days for delivery. The tracking options are virtually non existent. Stick to Amazon if you need anything fast.

Still haven't gotten my order

I ordered a single laminated poster from them two weeks ago and haven't heard a peep about it. The order was supposed to be ready in 3-5 business days. I'm honestly wondering if I will ever get that poster.

Staples on-line never has nothing in…

Staples on-line never has nothing in stock and you don’t know until you go to checkout. As well, there are now minimum amounts you have to buy. I don’t need 3 lunch bags. I’ll shop somewhere else. Used to love Staples but they are not the same anymore.

Stay away from store 217 Brampton

Avoid this store at all costs, employee hit on me, said he loved my eyes, I looked like I took care of myself, wanted to know what I like to do in my spare time, do I have any pets. I was at store 217 October 15, very bad experience. clerk messed up my printing request, wanted double sided he gave me single sided, did not bother to help, he left me and never came back. I had to mail everything and I paid double postage, not impressed. He was also very pushy, said he could save me money on internet at the end I would of saved 10$ a month, I cancelled everything. Was given no receipt just sorry and he walked away. Head office just said sorry, no reimbursement for expenses I have incurred because of this guys actions.
