This platform just cant be trusted with something as important as taxes so it seems.. Honestly, so disappointed and frustrated with this company and its software.. I'm continiously finding errors with the info. Incorrect or missing purchase prices/cost base.. Not integrating particular assets.. Not piecing transfers together properly.. The list goes on.. I've purchased the "Investor" package.. & the amount of time i'm having to spend troubleshooting errors has become asuch a headache. The software isn't very intuitive forcing you to fix up seemingly obvious errors in info not integrating/correlating properly.. Not too mention spending hours figuring out the ins and outs of the platform because you have to troubleshoot stupid errors constantly. I purchased this software in the hope it was going to make life easier buts its proving to be quite the opposite, overly complicated & incredibly time consuming. & Support isnt much help. You have to wait 24hrs+ to get a response and half the time drawing out the process to the point it takes a week or so to resolve an issue. & half the time they'll close the chat on you if you dont respond back to them within a certain time frame! You guys are charging a small fortune for this service, crypto & tax can be overwhelming as it is and this aint helping the cause. Really should have a team on deck ready to assist in real time, especially during business hours. This is becoming beyond a joke.
I use multiple exchanges with multiple wallets and dabble in altcoins here and there, so by tax time it's nearly impossible to see where all my crypto transactions occurred. Cryptotax made it a whole lot easier to trace my transactions. It's not just a one button press and all is worked out. You still have to do some checking, but overall, I think it's worth having.
Very impressed with the software and the attention given by Arjay in Customer Service. After 3 years with thousands of transactions per year, the exchanges tax reports weren’t cutting it. After researching tax software for crypto, I decided to try CTC. With the number of transactions I had, it was the most cost effective software I found and had good reviews.I had a few issues for a start with missing information, uncategorized transactions, and missing purchase history. I found it a little annoying to get past the customer service Bot, but once I had human support and worked with Arjay, it was easy to sort out the issues. By changing from API to CSVs to upload the transaction history we solved the missing data issues and although it took a bit of time to sort through everything, the patience and knowledge Arjay showed while assisting me to solve the uncategorized transactions and missing purchase history was greatly appreciated.While it is a bit of a learning curve to use the software, I feel it is very worthwhile, and you can see immediately where you are with your investments.
