I really appreciate the quick support that they give. Within minutes of asking a question you will get a response. Gilbert was the Tech that jumped in to help me today. His answers were accurate and easily understood. He was friendly and courteous, which goes a long way when you are struggling with something as fun as taxes! Thanks, Gilbert!

What made my experience great was Oliver AKA Oli AKA the legend in customer service. He spent hours with me over the last couple months after the migration to FIFO 1099-DA America stuff. Seriously, I really only have super high praise for Oli. In the last year for sure, nobody has even come as close to his persistence in assistance and making sure that I have felt confident and had my questions answered thoroughly. I think candidly Oli is the only reason I'm still with Summ. I've never found better help in the Crypto tax software space. Dudes awesome. Dude needs a raise he handles way more workload than 90% of your customer service department. I'm going on 3+ years using this service.
They have no idea what they are doing. I'm trying to get a CSV file uploaded. I did it exactly as they said and it won't work. I worked with vincent and he couldn't figure it out so he just dropped me. Shame on them. I spent hours trying to figure it out to get dropped. You would have to pay me to use their service.
This app is half-baked being sold at full price. Connecting to different wallets is a pain, but once I got past that, the assumption was SUMM would do the rest.I was incorrect; I was first tasked with categorizing a boatload of transactions, and which categories to use is confusing. Then it flagged sold crypto as having a missing purchase history. After hours of trying, I had no idea how to correct this, so I watched one of their videos, which starts out by assuming you're familiar with accounting practices. My first thought was if this were true, I wouldn't be using SUMM.Part of the problem is you need to be familiar with how SUMM handles syncing transactions behind the scenes and how it uses categories, groupings, etc., in order to even attempt correcting these. The other issue is it still does not sync certain well-known wallets correctly, so you're always wondering if that could be the problem. The bottom line is they had a year to map data from at least the most popular wallets. They also could have implemented automation using AI to automatically reconcile these other issues, and instead they apparently spent a lot of time changing their name from "Crypto Tax Calculator" to "SUMM."This app is marketed to investors with no accounting experience—so I would expect that other than asking a few easy questions, SUMM should take care of the rest. Also, it is impossible to get real-time help during tax season. So I'm basically stuck from completing my taxes from what I thought would be the easiest part. Not a good feeling!
There are broken transfers, missing purchase history, and miscategorized components all over the place. It would be less of an issue if you could actually get someone on the phone to walk you through all of your questions, but they have an AI bot for basic not good answers, and then when tech support comes on they may take a day to get back to you. When they do, they want a screen recording under the assumption that you know how to articulate what you need done? That is why you want help because it isn't well laid out. Don't waste the money
