The worst insurance ive ever had. More than 2 months for a claim, that moved the car without telling me the details and address of the new place. I've asked a damage report and had no answers. I've ask for my plate with more than 6 months left and had no answers. The worst insurance ever
They offered good interest rates which is why I switched. I understand the trade offs between this and more traditional banks However the survey Cee is ridiculously bad. The integration with QuickBooks is rudimentary; each time an OTP is required. The first attempt always fails I signed up for electronic statements, yet for more than 12 months I got none. No paper ones either. Moved house; tried to change address; kept getting a failed message. No local branch existent. One fine day, log on and it’s updated. No explanations to complaint and no offer to provide any of the missing statements. Finally, trying to close the account was like pulling hens teeth. Needed a call centre operator, an ID specialist and then the CC operator again. Overall 27 mins. Have you heard of OTP? What’s the Suncorp secure app for if not this??The operator kept offering to make my account more s secure even though I requested a closure. At the end I asked for an option to leave feedback: she said go to our website. Thanks, but no thanks
DO NOT USE THIS BANK! Tried to transfer a large amount out of my account to my CBA account and they put it on hold for 24hrs!! You don't have access to your own money even if you need it urgently!! A total joke!!!!! Have been on the phone now for 23 minutes and still waiting on something to happen!!
Well I came here to warn people at how poor this bank is and how poorly trained the staff are, but given the extremely low rating, it seems people beat me to it and given the dates of these reviews the management really don't care as nothing is improving.
Would not recommend Suncorp for landlords insurance. I have no prior history of claims over a 10 year period. i put in a claim for malicious damage. The tenants had been asked to vacate as had a dangerous dog, with bites to tradesperson. They left holes punched in several walls and dog faeces on the carpet....this had never before been noted during their 4-5 year tenancy. Suncorp claimed it didn't meet the definition of malicious acts. Instead they felt that the damages were 'consistent with disregard, neglect, carelessness, use of excessive force, lack of due care, or poor housekeeping'. Seriously?... No longer have trust in Suncorp for fairness or common sense...
Avoid their insurance at all costs!! They will do anything to avoid paying you or make excess so high it doesn't make it viable to make a claim or increased premiums. Look elsewhere.Frankly, not responding knowing when my policy is due only adds to what has been a deeply frustrating and financially damaging experience. This email isn't specifically pointed towards you, but I must express how I feel. So I'm saying this to Suncorp and not you as a person. Let’s go over this again:The previous tenants trashed the place, stole multiple items, and left us with a serious mess. Yet Suncorp refused to cover it—writing it off as "wear and tear" and "human behaviour"? This is ridiculous. If this was a hotel or airbnb, every single stolen or damaged item would have been replaced. Now with this new claim, where there's confirmed water damage, your process is once again set up to leave me with the bill. This time it’s because the repair costs are apparently less than the $2,000 excess—a figure I’m convinced has been strategically inflated so most water damage claims fall just under it. It’s manipulative and disgraceful. What about the mould in the walls now which under your policy has to be fixed as part of the disclosure and standard of the house. On top of that, I’ve looked into Ambrose Construct Group—your so-called independent repairer. Let’s be honest: they’re not independent. They're a preferred contractor of Suncorp, publicly linked to your team, regularly hosting your assessors, and very clearly dependent on your ongoing business. This creates a clear conflict of interest:They have every reason to downplay damage or reduce scope to keep your costs low.Their survival depends on keeping insurers like Suncorp happy. You, in turn, get to distance yourself from their decisions while benefiting from their narrowed reports. So while you hide behind third-party “assessments,” your entire model is set up to avoid paying out, plain and simple. You get plausible deniability while customers like me wear over $20,000 in damage. What is the point of this insurance product? It hasn’t protected me from theft. It hasn’t protected me from damage. It’s only protected your company’s bottom line.I’ll be cancelling all my policies with Suncorp—home, contents, and anything else. Your business model is built on fine print, denial strategies, and what looks a lot like intentionally priced-out excess structures. You’ve lost my trust. Completely.
There are double transactions showing up on the credit card transactions online, no refunds showing until you call up and ask them why, unexplained interest charges when you already transferred more than enough funds for repayment and other undisclosed fees. I regret having my broker recommend Suncorp to me. Please do not let your broker persuade you to join Suncorp. They draw you in with low interest rates but their interest rates goes up significantly after a few months. Their IT and overall technological system is outdated and can not be trusted to provide a safe and secure transaction.
