I purchased a car on Aug 27 2022. In Sep I received an invoice saying I had gone through some tolls around the Tampa Area. I think they were waiting for the Temp Plate to get registed to me as all the tolls on the invoice were BEFORE I purchased the car. The picture of the car was not mine either.Anyway, I used the chat bot and after a long conversation, the rep added the plate to mu SUNPASS after I emphasised NOT to do that as I would contest separately.Next response I get from SUNPASS is that they cannot do anything as the unpaid tolls had been added to my SUNPASS account (I told the Rep NOT to do that). Anyway, they said submit a dispute, so I did so. Then got a response saying they could not resolve as it was a duplicate dispute. Then I got an email saying they could not resolve and asked for more documentation which I had already sent. I drove the car from Vero Beach to Pembroke Pines on Aug 27 and the tolls were BEFORE taht date and in the Tampa area on a different Car. I have paid around $35-$40 dollars for tolls taht were not incurred by me.Something is not right !!Is this how they weear you down and then give up on the disputes as I am going to now.I woudl not say this company is a SCAM as many of teh reviews suggest, I just think it is poorly managed and their frontine people do not have a clue as to what they are advising. The first rep advised me that since the plate was registered to me, I was responsible for the tolls (even before I took possession of the car.Attention Sunpass, I hope you enjoy what yoru reps are doing to users. Its a shame there is no equivalent company for tolls as I am not at all please with SunPass.If I coudl have give zero stars, I would have
Stay away!! Customer service is nonexistent. The web site is terrible. After purchasing a transponder I was unable to set up an account. Sunpass claims I already have an email associated with my license plate. I don’t but can’t get the issue rectified as they keep sending automated responses that don’t address the issue. Very frustrating so my advice is to use the manual tool booths.
This company is trash. Their device only works sometimes so expect to get additional invoices in the mail each month. Their customer service is the worst. You will wait over 2 hours to get to speak to someone. There is no getting through to a supervisor. If you contact them online they will give you nothing but lies and premade answers to questions. Dont waste your time on this company.
$8 for less than a mile!!?? Their billing procedures are disconcerting; your bills (for the same day) are received out of order so you risk being late, It is impossible to reach anyone, and there is nothing you can do about it. They have earned '0' stars, and I will do what I can to avoid using toll roads, which I hear is what most people do.
Biggest scam on earth, but with coverage from government. Horrible. Every year they start charging statement fees, even if statements are NOT requested. Somebody should call the police or file a lawsuit against them because this is just stealing money from customers and this are millions of US dollar.
Who gets to put their website down for millions of users; public users and the fees are mandatory. People should be fired for the inconvenience caused when this utility goes down. No excuses. Refund us our monies when we can't even manage our accounts. I need to get records for reimbursement of expenses and this outfit cannot be bothered to have functional website for weeks. Seriously, government out of control!!!
