It's difficult to understand how this restaurant for which I would frequent almost weekly a few years back (food was great), to a place I hope to never set foot in again... Although understandable busy at 6.30 on a Saturday evening, we had to wait almost 40 minutes for our order.. (having been told it would take 20) the large pizza came out cut into 4 parts... (try trying to eat a slice!!) the garlic bread came out Burnt and dry.. I returned it to the manager and said "I appreciate it's busy, but please do better than this" he replaced it.. With much the same.. It tasted like s**t. The chips were few and could... If we were not so hunger, I would have looked for my money back... Tip.. Avoid like the plague!!
We purchased two takeaway Bewleys coffees at Supermacs ,Retail Park Carlow (the girl who served the coffee appeared to be a student doing casual weekend work ).We take coffee without milk and therefore hot ,so we couldn't drink them for 10 minutes or so ,at which stage we were on the motorway so couldn't turn back on discovering that both coffees were over-watered and so basically tasteless . As a result we didn't drink them .I assumed that this may happen to lots of Supermac customers who don't bother to complain. So I sent off an email to their customer services with a photo attachment showing how diluted the coffee was. They replied stating that ,'we notified the store and they said they would assess the machines and make are required changes to address them. We didn’t receive any other negative feedback regards the quality of the coffee but we will monitor it'I read this as ,our coffee machines could have been faulty on the day, but we care so little about your experience that won't even offer you replacement coffees next time you call .Very poor response, from an Irish company serving a brand of coffee (Bewleys) for which the quality and consistency should be quaranteed.MINOR issue I know, but it's the apathy of the company that I wanted to highlight.
Had a snack box last week at the Tuam outlet and it was brutal stuff.I was one of their first customers way back when they opened their first outlet in Ballinasloe and have enjoyed their food since. Tuam's chicken however was the worst I have ever tasted. Their chips were no better either. It was after 1pm so things should have been on point by then but alas no.The chicken was dry and had a weird plastic taste to it. The chips were soaked in oil and hard.I should have tasted everything before leaving and driving home!!!See other review!
Apart from great food in a spotlessly clean restaurant in Drogheda the staff here are incredible. Very pleasant cheerful welcoming professional. Extra special to children. So kind. I don't know all their names I'm sorry to say except Leigh but they are all wonderful. Thank you guys.
I was one of the first customers in this restaurant in Ballysimon Limerick today and I ordered a superbeakfast. The fried eggs I received looked like they were cooked yesterday and were completely overcooked, and the toast was reheated. Will not be going again
My partner ordered a plain double cheeseburger meal with only cheese on the burger. He received a double cheeseburger with everything on it. This didn’t just happen once but twice. The first time he said next time I’ll put it into the comments. Next order he got he wrote the comment and still got everything on the burger. Doesn’t sound like a bad review but when your paying for something you expect what you ask for. Clearly someone isn’t reading the comments or just doesn’t like their job
We actually really like supermacs, particularly the chicken and pizza. Unfortunately the closest one to us, just past the bishopstown/bandon roundabout, doesn't open until 1pm, and closes at about 7pm(if they aren't closed, they are out of chicken and don't have anyone to make pizza. Our lunch is 11 or 12, and we don't get dinner until after 7. So we gave up on supermacs.
