Review Time
Extremely disappointing. The watch arrived ok but was not suitable and very thick. I arranged a return and received confirmation that it had been received, but then no refund. I first off emailed the company and received a reply that basically said I had not waited the 10 days even though they again confirmed they had received the watch. After 12 days I called them and the guy that answered did not speak and then put the phone down. I rang straight back and again he said nothing until I asked if the company was real or a scam. He was obviously outside due to the wind and road noise. He said he would get the refund actioned but again never did. I contacted Amex who credited my account whilst the disputed amount was sorted. In the end Swan and Edgar never refunded me, it was Amex. Like I said, extremely disappointing.
I ordered a pen for my nephew's graduation ceremony. He lives in Italy. Your website boasts "International Delivery". The delivery comes at a premium and nowhere on your website or during the ordering process is one told there will be any additional charges. Imagine my surprise then when my brother had to pay almost another 50% when the gift for his son was delivered. As a last insult the box containing the gift was damaged making the item look and feel of poor quality and possibly even used and returned by a previous customer. I would have returned the item as the overall experience disgusted me but there was no time to buy an alternative gift. I appreciate the company is not responsible for these ludicrous import charges but for transparency you must highlight during the ordering process that import charges are NOT included
The watch itself if fine, but two problems came up:1. It took 1 week longer until the parcel arrived, and2. I had to pay more than 70€ extra for receiving the package (shipment fee and tariffs) which was not clear when I ordered the watch. This increased the actual price of the watch by 35% !Edit: Dear Swan & Edgar, the fact that you have hidden cost in your shipping policies does not make me want to change or delete my trustpilot Review.
The watch is great for the price paid.However the description is misleading as the watch is not a chronograph.The pushers set the day and date.Second hand is not hacking.As said before the watch is great for the price, looks good on the wrist. Finishing is spot on.Punches above its weight.Well done.
I originally bought a watch from Swan & Edgar about 4 years ago. A few weeks ago a fault developed with the day-night indicator, which became out of synch with the time. I contacted Swan & Edgar to see if they could advise on how to synch the watch, but this didn't work. Rather than have to wait for them to repair my watch they've sent me a new one, which I'm very happy with. I'm very impressed that they stand by their 5 year guarantee
