You should be ashamed of yourself. Absolutely the worst rail company in the UK. Again I’m sitting on a heavily delayed train late for work that has stopped in the middle of nowhere.
Random cancellations, sudden change of stops on your way home I hate you. If I did my job like you idiots I would be unemployed.
I encountered a middle-aged ticket clerk at a station who provided misleading information about ticket deals, asserting that customers must go online to access them. However, my research suggests otherwise. I chose a different mode of transport, which resulted in a loss of revenue for the service. I recommend that the company consider employing mystery shoppers to evaluate his customer service and ensure his competence. It seems he may have forgotten that his role is to assist customers. Additionally, if many people start purchasing tickets online based on his advice, it could jeopardize his position and potentially lead to the closure of ticket offices.
At Luton Town Station, I encountered a middle-aged ticket clerk who provided incorrect information about ticket deals, insisting that customers must go online to access them, which my research disproves. I chose an alternative transport option, resulting in a loss of revenue for the service. I suggest that the company employ mystery shoppers to assess his performance, as he seems to have forgotten that he is there to assist customers. His advice to buy online tickets could risk his own job if it leads to ticket office closures.
If I could, I'd rate it zero stars. Extremely unreliable service. Trains are often late, with cancellations happening 99% of the time. The on-board temperature is dangerously high, and there's no air conditioning. Trains are overcrowded, leading to people fainting from the heat. The cleanliness is appalling, and the toilets are out of order. This company is by far the worst in the UK. If you can, please avoid it at all costs!
I visited London for a concert only to have the entire experience ruined by this company. I faced a 53-minute wait for the next train due to an earlier incident that was not communicated an hour prior. I reject their delay/repay offer—I’m not that desperate. I hope your holiday evening is as miserable as mine has become.
Over the last two years, this service has repeatedly delayed and cancelled trains. They advertised compensation, but I've learned it’s at their discretion. Moving forward, I will opt for services that allow me to charge back if the service is not provided, rather than relying on their unreliable approach.
On six separate occasions over the last three months, we have tried to travel to London, and on all six occasions the journey has been delayed cancelled, diverted - no information, apathetic station staff, a driver telling us we’re going to Kings Cross when the onboard information says Horsham. Yesterday was the latest nightmare journey - I arrived at St Pancras Int. for the 20.16 to Peterborough (I was getting off at St. Neots). First off the train was over 30 minutes delayed, then all stops between Hitchin & Peterborough were cancelled, no mention of alternative services. Once onboard we are told it was terminating at Hitchin - no further information just ‘Sorry for any inconvenience’ - aaarrrghhhh!Every time we try to use the service, it is a mess - they need their licence taking away, the cost is not cheap, and they treat passengers like dirt.
