I purchased a knife on Dec 6 for my husbands birthday Jan 29. On Jan 12 I reached out to customer support for the status of my order. On Jan 13 I received...” Thanks for reaching out to us. Upon checking, you have ordered a pre-order item, which means it will be shipped in early to mid-January 2021. You will receive an email confirmation as soon as the item has been dispatch and shipped in about 1-2 weeks. We thank you for your patience. :)”. At the time of purchase, nothing was indicated that this was a “pre-order” item. And I found it odd that they stated shipment would be “mid to late Jan, and at the time of this email it WAS mid-Jan. But I tell myself to be patient. On Jan 25 I sent a second email, as I’ve searched EVERYWHERE for a phone number and can find anything, stating again that I would like a status on my order as this is a B-day gift and I’d like to AT LEAST give a status on it. This is the reply that I received on Jan 28: “ Thanks for your email! Your order is scheduled to be shipped starting January 25th onwards as per our fulfillment team for all MenWithThePot preorders, you will receive an email with the tracking number once it has been shipped. We appreciate your patience on this! 😊”As the date of this response is clearly AFTER Jan 25, and does not address my status inquiries, I assume this is a computer generated response. Now I’m looking at reviews and find this is no an isolated occurrence. I’ve also read that the knives are made in China, which is contrary to the perception of “hand-made” from “California”. Very disappointing. I thought I was getting my husband a really special gift. I’ll be contacting customer service and my credit card for a COMPLETE REFUND.
I absolutely love my new hand crafted carbon steel knifes! I feel like a samurai warrior with these things in my hand. Never had more fun cutting, chopping and cooking. Quality knives. Definitely recommend this to anyone who loves to cook on any level. You won’t regret it! I promise.
I love my knives so much. THey came early and are exactly what I expected. My house mate has similar knives that he paid a third of the price of mine but his need to be sharpened all the time. I would happily recommend the Cooking Guild to anyone who is looking for quality all round. Thank you :)
I received these knives as a gift. The quality and craftsmanship of the knives is great. I have no complaints other than one of the 3 knives in the master series set did not come sharpened. Not a big deal for me since I own a knife sharpening kit. But this could be problematic for others.
I recently ordered the Bush Craft Bundle set of two knives. I have never heard of The Cooking Guild, nor had I ever ordered any of their products in the past. I was stoked to get the box in th' mail, and upon opening it and inspecting the contents, I have to say, Impressed, impressed, IMPRESSED ! Fine quality, well balanced, and SHARP ! Priced real reasonably. I wud definitely order from this company again. Be blessed. :)
My original order was lost in transit. I reached out for a replacement and the process was quick and easy. Alvin with customer service was great to work with and responded in a timely fashion. Oh yeah, the knifes are even better than I imagined.
I have the Damascus Chef’s Knife, from the Sapphire series. Beautiful knife. We entertain often, and our guests always compliment how cool the knife looks. Aside from its looks, the knife performs very well. Extremely sharp- it feels very good in your hand, with just the right amount of weight and balance. I will definitely be looking to try the Snažan Serbian knife next!
