I purchased the serbian cleaver in onyx and couldn't be more happy, it has met all my expectations and then some. the sheath it came with is great for protecting the blade while not in use and the weight and sharpness of the blade makes light work of meat, fruit, and veg.
These knives are great. I think I use the smaller one all the time now. My son loves watching me cut up the roasts and such we make together. I have a sneaky suspicion that these knives will become artifacts for the family! I hope to order more down the line.

I don't often encounter a web-based company that stands behind their product the way these guys do. I had paid extra for 2-day shipping and got the product well after that. When I emailed them asking about why it was late, they didn't hesitate to apologize and refund my shipping fee. I hope business owners are reading this because this is all customers really want. They want to know they're being taken care of. Now on to the knife....I can't believe I only paid $99 for this knife. It was beautifully crafted with a perfect design. It reminds a little bit of a scimitar on the front end but it's that wide front end that lets you start off with deep cuts when you need to. The handle is solid and very comfortable while holding it. It will amaze you at how easily it cuts through even soft foods. I recommend coating the wood part of the handle in a mineral oil or other sort of butcher block oil to keep it from drying out and/or splitting. I also purchased the leather sheath which is also well designed and sturdy! I highly recommend buying the sheath. Well done, Cooking Guild!
