The worst Customer Service - I'm trying to buy a cover and you'd think they would actually want my money esp the $200 shipping costs that they originally said was FREE. My local hot tub company purchases from them and I am so bummed I went through with the charge with them to this company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM - but does anyone have any other ideas?
Find out the total charge including shipping to your address, I paid $466.39 for free shipping on 5/8/24 then they sent me an additional shipping charge of $149.99. yes I am not kidding the additional shipping to my location came out to exactly 149.99! Of course I canceled the order, they knew the address when I ordered. This upcharge is deliberate and dishonest.
Currently going back and forth with emails about our faulty tri-fold hot tub lid & being told its our fault its broken as we lift the lid by the handles?? We actually have a lid lifter fitted to our hot tub and most certainly don't use the handles. I have a feeling this is a company who do not honour defects in their craftmanship after reading the reviews.
I am wanting to report a business for fraudulent and misconceiving information on their website. The Cover Guy (hot tub covers) is the business. We recently purchased a hot tub cover replacement from The Cover Guy. The purchase of 513.59$ was made after all over their website listing free shipping. we received an email a couple days in that because of the area we live in it is not free shipping and was going to be an extra $99. If we had it shipped to another zip code we might have gotten it free but they couldn't tell us what zip codes near us were free shipping. So my husband gave few zip codes in the area (we live near Des Moines IA - so not rural). Some were $49. The shady part is though my husband then listed our zip code which we put in first but they clearly couldn't see and now all of a sudden it was $49. The initial email was $99. Even though despite "free shipping" all over their website. The "why we didn't qualify for free shipping" was having to go into many different links to see why we didn't qualify for free shipping. They took our money, but did reimburse us when I cancelled the order. The part I am upset about is the deceptive advertising on their website and straight bold face lies when calling in and how the shipping changed from email to speaking to someone. This needs to be changed so others don't have to waste their time and then wait 7-10 business days to get reimbursed. I also reported them to BBB
Waste of money. My cover didn’t even last a year when all the sticking started to come undone. The warranty department basically said it’s “due to lifting the cover with negligence” which made absolutely no sense as the stitches are coming undone all around the cover and not where you lift it from. Do not buy!! It’s garbage.
The 7 year warranty they offer is a joke. I have had my Hot Tub Cover for 2 1/2 years and paid $660. I even purchased the Combo Vapour Proof Barrier Seal and the seal leaked, the foam is waterlogged and moldy and the best they can do is offer me a new one with another 7 yr warranty for $665 or $567 with the remaining 4 1/2 yr warranty. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
Beautiful stitching, beautiful fabric. Nicest cover I have ever had. Less then a year latter the Styrofoam is waterlogged and they told me it is my fault due to "chemical exposure" yes I do use a little chlorine in my hot tub. Big surprise there!!!! The blue "Upgrade" second layer of wrapping is rotted out. It was not the right material for this use. The inner clear plastic layer shows no signs of deterioration or any sign of being heat sealed. No wonder it was waterlogged in less than a year.....***********Defective material and poor workmanship*********Under the 7 year warranty hey offered a 20% discount to buy a new one. The last thing I will ever do is send them more $$$$If you need a cover to last more than a year then this is not it.
Wow I wish i had read this before! First it took forever to get the cover since it was custom made. 2 attempted times it did not arrive. They were very dishonest. Then they put the straps in the wrong place and it look back -- BUT the worst of the worst has been that in 5 months the stitching has started to come apart. There are literally holes on 3 sides. Clearly this i not normal since some of the areas don't ever receive strain. Until now, no one has answered a since email or phone call despite it being under "warranty" I'm going to report to the Better Business Bureau * DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS * I've had covers last years and years. They got some cheap crap from china and i paid over $1k for this junk.
Purchase process went smoothly and cover was very nice, until 4 years in and its water logged and very heavy. Cover has 7 year warranty so I submitted claim with required pictures and descriptions and have not heard a word from them and it's been almost 3 weeks (customer service site says you will hear back in 4-5 business days). For the price paid it should last more than 4 years. Will but elsewhere
