Review Time
Poorly made, did not last 3 weeks without pulling apart at seam and then we were told it was our fault! We only use it once or twice a week. Our old cover was replaced due to sun damage on the top which caused flaking and pooling of rain. The seams were all intact.
Ordered two Cover Mate 3 lift covers for our swim spa. Within 2 weeks of installation one bracket melted, twisted and then broke in half, tearing the stitching on the lid cover. I notified the company and sent pictures as they requested. After multiple emails and phone calls since June 2024 they have now informed me that the Sun melting the bracket was "An act of God" and would not be covered under the warranty. Really?The 17' swim spa is of course outside and made for harsh weather. Such nonsense! Terrible company to deal with and now I'm out 900.00 as the other bracket is melting as well. Buyer Beware of this company!
The worst company that I have ever dealt with in the 76 years of my life. I purchased my hot tub cover in June 2022. I have sent emails and telephone request since then regarding my hot tub cover top, which after six months of use takes a weightlifter to lift it up. I spent the extra money for an extra liner and bought the best cover that I could. Complete junk. Other than the standard reply we received, we have never heard from this company. Save your money and save a lot of aggravation and run away from this company. You could buy a piece of plywood with a tarp at a box store and build a better hot tub cover than they sell at thecoverguy.
Less than 1 year after purchasing the extreme weather hot tub cover ($1k) the foam started pooling. They told me that the foam was installed upside down and how to fix it. After fixing it, it started to pool in one small corner. I found that the cover had frayed and the foam was flattened out. They told me that my extreme weather cover had been damaged by the sun reflecting off of the window. But, only a 2'x4' section was damaged. Poor warranty service.
The stitching started letting go on the hot tub cover we received from them only 1 1/2 years ago. The company said it was not their fault but it was a result of using a lifter! Well that is the best and safest way to take off a cover! However l was sort of fortunate to get a new skin cover at a discounted price of $163. If you read the warranty carefully it is very vague and that gives them the choice of denying your claim.
I echo what many have said about this company about comms, in fact, although my cover has more been delivered, it still say on the system it's in production, but that aside. They did what they said they were going to do, in the timescales they said.The cover is such a much better cover than the tired, old one we had, we picked the weathersheild black and it appears a nice fabric, much nicer than the usual vinyl and on the one it replaces.All fits nicely as measured properly, really pleased with thy fit and finish, looks very nice.Guess we will see over the course of time how good it is and how long it lasts, but very pleased.The delivery driver says also an absolute delight of a fella, very friendly and couldn't be more helpful.Overall, despite my initial reservations ordering, they've done a very well deserved 5 star job. 👍
I ordered a cover from this company . After contacting them due to no confirmation e mail they apologised and sent me it and told me they were working to a 8 week turn around. Week 7 I had a text from the courier company confirming that they will deliver tomorrow. Found no damage and fit great ,can’t comment on quality yet as only had it one day but time will tell.
