I’m setting up my music studio and wanted acoustic slat wall panels that actually make a difference. I went with The Panel Hub and so far I’m happy with it.
The biggest thing I noticed is the room sounds tighter and less echo-y, especially when I’m tracking vocals and mixing. The panels feel solid, and the install was pretty straightforward. They came in sections for shipping, but once they’re up you don’t really notice the seams , solid value for the money.

I’ve been waiting close to 45 days to get a tracking number. After calling customer support and emailing half a dozen times I got an update that the walnut panels I ordered are on back order and aren’t expected to ship until the end of the January—not at all what the website said when I ordered. I have requested to cancel the order and receive a refund and they just keep giving me the run around about it both on the phone and through email. I don’t see the problem given the order hasn’t shipped yet.This company seems like a scam at this point. I’ll update this if they honor my request for a refund.UPDATE 1/20:After emailing customer service this review last week I was able to secure a refund which appeared in my account today. Overall, it seems like their website is making delivery promises they can't meet and failing to communicate that to customers. Their customer service line lied to me multiple times when I called to ask about a tracking number, then lied to me about their refund policy. I basically had to extort them with this review and the threat of more before they took my refund request seriously. Then I received an apology and they offered a 10% discount! lol--to which I said no thanks, then they offered 40% off--to which I said no thanks, then they finally said they would refund my order, and wanted to know if I would update or change the review once I got the refund. So, I can't in good conscious recommend doing business with them, and I can't comment on the actual product. However, I did get a refund and an apology. So, I'm going to update my review to two stars.
I ordered the American Acoustic Slat Wood Wall Panels in Golden Oak back in November and they arrived in early January. I was honestly worried about damage during shipping, but the packaging was excellent and everything arrived in perfect condition without any scratches.The material feels very high-quality and smooth, but the best part is definitely the Golden Oak color. It looks so beautiful and fits my studio perfectly. It really upgraded the whole look of the room.I don’t have any carpentry skills at all, but I was actually able to install these all by myself at home. It was surprisingly easy to do, and the customer service team was great at giving me some tips to get started. I’m so proud of how it turned out. If you’re looking for something that looks professional but is easy to set up, these are perfect.
I ordered the Slat Walnut Wood Wall Panel and LED Light Strips in April 2025. The LED strips were on back order so they were going to be delivered later. When I received the wood panels they looked cheap and I didn't like them. Instead of a nice veneer on the face of the wood slats they were just pressed layers. I tried to return the panels but it was going to be more expensive to return than what the cost was. Then I cancelled the LED strips that never arrived and asked for a refund. After sending 15 emails and calling their support in India 10 times over the last month I still haven't been able to reach anyone that knows anything or get a refund. I'm still waiting after 45 days and I am pissed.Here is an update: It is now 60 days since I've requested a refund for the LED lighting that never arrived. I got an email promising that I would get this refund, but of course, there has not been a refund and all of the emails come back with a standard reply that they will get "back to me shortly". Still pissedHere is an update: On 7/10/25 after multiple strongly worded emails I was able to get a refund for the lighting. I'm stuck with the panels, because they are too big to return but I might be able to sell them on the market. Due to getting a refund I'll update to 2 stars.Update: On 9/12/25 I met with someone from the offshore service center that seems like it is related to company and they gathered some information. Not sure if it will make a difference because it was mostly someone reading from a script, but I also got an additional refund. It was still a pain to take the time to deal with but I did receive some funds back.
These panels have been great. Finish is nice and smooth. Panels are very square, installation went very well. I used liquid nails for paneling to install with good results. Don’t stick painters tape to these it will peel up a bit of the panel. Looks great, no problems.
I no purchased $700+ worth of panels on 8/31. I received one email from the company saying I earned x number of points. I received another from AmazonPay saying the payment went through and could see it in my statement.After about a week with no updates or other communication, I reached out via the customer support email address and received no response. A few days later I called the phone number listed on the website and it went straight to voicemail. I left a voicemail and have no had a response. I used the chat feature in the website and there was no one on the other end. I found another email address for the company and did get a brief response saying they would look into my situation. I sent follow up emails a few days later and nothing. It is approaching one month since my order and I think these guys took my money. I can’t understand how their rating is so high on TrustPilot. I am trying to get my money back from Amazon and they are being very unhelpful. Buyer beware!!
