Shipment not packed well. Needed to be packed in plastic. Also one of my orders was never sent. I realized this is not their fault but it was extremely difficult to get a refund
I love my new purses. I bought two from The RealReal. One was exactly what I wanted. The other one was a bit smaller than I expected. I guess this was my fault. I assumed it was regular size and I didn't look up the dimensions. I will still use it when I go to outings.
Bought a second bag from them after a good experience the first time. Don’t feel confident the second bag is authentic since the 4th time I wore it the strap broke even though I spent nearly $5,000. Customer service blew me off and said, “ I am sorry for the hassle it have caused you. I would like to inform you that we do not provide a post-purchase warranty, after the purchase we are not responsible for the issues like damage after the use.” DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.
Selling items to them is a joke, receive chump change for good pieces I send in. I am now taking my things to a local consignment store. Shipping costs have increased so not sure the value I am getting from buying on this website. A positive note is that there is a good selection of clothes and handbags.
We have been buying and selling for numbers of years . Our experience has been that when we decide to take our item back, it would take them months to send everything back. This is awful.
So we decided to go with Los Angeles, diamond and gold buyers in downtown LA. Everything was quick and smooth they paid on spots something we’ve been trying to do for months.. I definitely do not recommend Real Real
This was my first purchase on the RealReal. I have sold items over the years. My questions were answered and I received the item quickly. The bracelet was for my husband who had recently lost one. The condition of the bracelet was excellent and as described. I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly this went .
I purchased a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses that were supposed to be very good condition, and they were supposed to come with a case. Upon receiving them, the nosepads were missing, (which was not listed in of the description of item condition) and make them unwearable. Also they didn't come with a case, as listed. Upon contacting cuatomer service, the only solution that was offered to me was for me to return them. They were unable to send me the case that was missing, or offer me any type of partial refund for the damage. Very dissatisfied and disappointed in my first, and last, order.
My husband bought me a Louis Vitton purse for Valentine’s Day- I got so excited when I was opening it because I could see the LV through the bag. He paid 1400.00 for it. After opening I discovered it was in HORRIBLE shape. Clearly the strap had come off and was stitched carelessly back on with black thread (didn’t even match the rest of the strap and purse which had cream colored thread). It was FILTHY dirty, someone clearly spilled something on the inside- the bottom was filthy, and the straps had what appeared to be sweat stains all over them. So gross. It looked like it was a 45 year old purse. I couldn’t have been more disappointed. I promptly took it to goodwill, and even they almost didn’t accept it.
I tried Worthy and they are not worthy of your time. I listed 17 items with The Real Real and they are very professional. They take the time to evaluate and list your items. 8 of my items have sold. Very good business. Don’t use Worthy use The Real Real.
