Review Time
I ordered (for the 1st time) a Cajon and some cables from the online site, as the Cajon was considerably cheaper with them than others (£44 compared to £75). So was able to get the cables as well for what it would cost elsewhere. However, for some strange unknown reason, PayPal gave them an old address that I’d removed from my account when I moved around a year ago. I have made numerous purchases since that have all made it to my new place, so it was unusual. I noticed the issue right away when Thomman emailed to confirm it was being sent and contacted them immediately with my new address. They said that they would forward the information and it should be ‘fine’.As I was a bit dubious I kept tracking the parcel to try to make sure it wasn’t just ‘dropped’ on a doorstep at the end of the journey as a great deal of ‘couriers’ are doing these days. In fact I emailed Thomman multiple times to try to rectify the issue and ensure I wouldn’t be out of pocket around £80. I also then ‘registered’ with UPS and tried to amend the address before it was delivered incorrectly.Long story short...the information I was getting looked a little vague and I was concerned my parcel would be given away. Which ultimately it was, despite NUMEROUS attempts and correspondence between all parties, nobody seemed to care but me!Thankfully, my old address is not too far away and the new owner is a scrupulous, stand up citizen, who gave me the items that had been delivered, or ‘dropped’.So although I’m happy with the eventual outcome. I’m very disappointed with the after sale service I received. They pretty much ‘panned’ me off with scant reassurance and my fear that my goods would be ‘dropped’ on a doorstep were realised.Yes, the price was right, and you get what you pay for sometimes. But I will definitely think more than twice before I buy something from the company again.
I've ordered 4 guitars over the last 2 years from Thomman (All Harley Benton)Their customer service is fantastic, with fast replies to emails, delivery was surprisingly fast (Especially coming from Germany) and the Harley Benton guitars themselves are great
I've bought a number of products from Thomman over the years and they're extremely professional. I recently returned an item and was kept up to date throughout. The only thing to bear in mind is they're based in Germany, so return postage may cost extra for me it was £15. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.
Horrible box headed german costumer service, cheap shipping method taking forever to deliver, they need to learn from amazon but no they wont. Think several times before ordering from them try local, other countries. I order twice with horrible results never again X
Have been using them for many years, all orders received extremely fast, carefully packaged and as advertised. Their site is top notch allowing you to see the products from every angle, clearly they use their own photo studio.The prices are the standard everybody else is watching and trying to beat.
I have shopped here many times. Sometimes my orders came quickly with no issues other times I had minor problems or delays. I have purchased many items for my home studio. Speakers, Speaker Stands, Sound Insulation, Studio Headphones and much more. I had 2 orders that did not go smoothly1. I had gotten the flyer mailed to my house and it showed the headphones I wanted on sale! I raced to my PC to place the order and there was a 40 euro difference between the online price and the advertised price. I contacted customer support and there was a lot of back and forth to prove what I had in my hand was real and correct. I sent many photos of the flyer/paper and finally a manager got involved and gave me the sale price shown in the flyer. This took a few days of emails back and forth. 2. Another time I ordered speakers and a week later they where still not sent. I contacted Thomman and I was informed they had none in stock and they where awaiting a shipment from the manufacturer. 2 weeks later the speakers arrived. The delay was disappointing but the order was fine. All my other orders went 100% perfect. Sometimes they where a tad slow processing the order but this seller probably gets a huge volume of orders. I still recommend Thomman and continue to shop here. Everything I have ever purchased was well packaged and free of any damage.
