Worst experience ever! Hello, if you are seeing this review save yourself from TravelOcat travel agency. I had to give this review because of the frustration caused to me by this people.
1. Flight booking: These guys will give you a package including flights in it, but there will be a condition that flights might change based on when it it booked. Actually, what they do is search flights on google flights and write it down in there quotation without any proper research on flights availability or charges on the flight. For me just after one day of paying advance to these guys and booking the flights on next day, it costed me 70k more for flights for 6 adults. I started having negative feeling about this agency at that time, but still went ahead. Further, they will book flights with there email id and mobile number and make us pay with our credit card, to control bookings we withdraw from them based on below experiences.
2. Hotel booking:
- They gave me a very nice hotel in initial pdf for stay in Da Nang, which i accepted. After paying advance they changed the hotel in email confirmation, which the name was very similar to the one in quotation (Hotel name in pdf: Grand Ocean Boutique Hotel l Hotel name in email: Grand Sunrise Boutique Hotel) which i didn't catch and gave confirmation to them, and like that they changed to a cheaper hotel. This was second mistake of mine, was still getting negative feeling but went ahead as my flight bookings was controlled by them i had to stay (see there terms and conditions in images below you will understand the reason)
- Second thing is as my flight was early in the morning, they included additional day in the package so that we get rest (Tour seller: Anjali (9034003285)) has been suggested, but while booking they never booked for that day. After insisting for many times the day before my flight they said you have to directly talk with Hotel to get the early check-in if rooms available they will give it or we have to adjust (in a very rude tone). I made my booking with these guys 2 months before my trip still they will not be diligent.
- They will book 'No View' rooms which will not even have a window. These will not be disclosed in your quotation anywhere until the payment is taken from you.
3. Terms and Conditions: There terms and conditionals are extremely favourable to them. Will add a image below. Take a look.
4. Responsiveness: The person who will sale you the package, talk with you all the details is different and the people making booking are different and the people making all the bookings will create a whatsapp group to get all the details but no person will respond or answer your call until the time comes when they have to collect money from you.
5. Card Charges: These guys will charge 1.5% extra from you when want to pay via credit card, which they will not mention earlier.
Ultimately, my flight got cancelled and i never visited Vietnam. After all these experience i was not ready to travel with these guys, choosing my mental peace over trip i cancelled my trip. I paid 2,10,000 to these guys not even one rupee was refunded. But i took a good decision to not travel with these rude, unprofessional, and not responsive travel agents.
Save yourself! Book yourself! Choose different Agency!
We recently completed a Rajasthan tour booked through TravelOcat, and the experience was better than we expected. Simran Kaur, a new agent who helped us, understood our needs perfectly and created a well-balanced itinerary that included Jaipur, Jaisalmer, and Udaipur.
The places we stayed were well-selected, providing comfort and authenticity while staying within our budget. The whole journey was surprisingly easy; there was little stress because of great arrangements and clear communication at every step.
Our flight tickets were booked in advance with convenient timings, which made the entire travel plan smooth from start to finish. What impressed us most was the consistent level of service. Simran checked in regularly and made sure our preferences were respected, whether it was about room type or the pace of sightseeing.
Her sense of responsibility and proactive approach greatly contributed to our satisfaction. TravelOcat truly delivers on their promises, and this Rajasthan trip will always be special to us.
The pick-up and drop-off timings were well-managed, and the coordination with the local team in Singapore was timely and effective. Overall, it was a positive experience, especially with the assistance from the representative who was instrumental in organizing everything.
An extremely disappointing experience. I noticed many positive reviews, but when our trip turned into an operational disaster, the team failed to take responsibility for resolving the issues. Support was satisfactory until payment was made; after that, there was no reply, even after multiple emails. We requested an English-speaking driver, and while we were assured it would be arranged, the driver couldn’t speak English and was unaware of our itinerary. Despite paying extra for a larger vehicle, we received a smaller one in Delhi, causing us to lose most of the day. In Agra, the hotel we booked refused us entry, and we were moved to a subpar hotel. The WhatsApp group created for transparency was later neglected by the team. It was not worth the money spent. Even the complimentary meals in Agra and the campfire at the hotel in Shimla were denied, with claims that no such bookings were made by the service. The entire purpose of booking a travel package was lost. I recommend others to plan their trips independently; you will have better control and avoid unnecessary financial and time losses. Trusting this team was a mistake in my five years of travel experience. I am sharing this review after numerous emails and WhatsApp follow-ups, which resulted in being removed from the WhatsApp group without any notice or response.
The staff exhibited a lack of professionalism, prioritizing profits over customer safety and satisfaction. I strongly advise against booking any packages if your coordinator is Mr. Gurwinder and his team. After payment, my calls and messages went unanswered, and there was no accountability for their subpar service. When I withheld a small amount due to these issues, the staff responded with rudeness and threats, behaving more like bullies than professionals. The employees were arrogant, dismissive, and unethical. This agency feels like a complete scam, driven by those only interested in money, ready to trap you once payment is made. Please do not trust this travel agency with your hard-earned money or travel plans. If you care about your safety, peace of mind, and finances, I recommend staying far away. I am extremely disappointed and appalled by this experience.
CAUTION - They took my advance and are refusing to return it. I booked my travel through this service (from one city to another), sent an advance of a significant amount, and they are not responding appropriately, speaking rudely. I had to cancel my plans due to the poor experience I had with them. If you're willing to risk the same fate, go ahead; otherwise, be cautious. Initially, they are polite, but once you send the money, their attitude shifts. I'm trying to get my money back, but they keep ignoring my calls. Since I'm in a different city, I now have to travel to file a complaint locally. Different representatives have lied to me, and I would advise avoiding this service at all costs.
CAUTION - They accepted an advance and are not returning the funds. I booked travel through them (from one city to another), paid an advance of 10,000, and their responses have been poor and rude. I have canceled my plans with their service due to a negative experience. Initially, they are courteous, but once payment is made, their attitude changes. I am attempting to retrieve my funds, but they ignore my calls. Being in a different city, I now need to travel to file a complaint locally. Different sales representatives provide inconsistent information, and I advise avoiding them altogether.
My visit to Manali was truly enchanting, largely thanks to the exceptional support I received from the representative and our cab driver. The representative played a crucial role in planning the trip, from suggesting the best itinerary to ensuring seamless bookings, which made the experience stress-free. They recommended lesser-known attractions that added authenticity to the trip. Our cab driver was more than just a driver; he was a knowledgeable guide. His insights into the local area enriched our journey, and his friendly demeanor made every ride enjoyable. I highly recommend this service for a thrilling travel experience.
STRONGLY DISCOURAGED! My experience with this service was terrible! The sales representative made promises but failed to communicate with the operations team, resulting in unexpected extra charges. Even after explaining my concerns, the operations team insisted I pay additional fees. The hotel booked in the city didn't even exist, and we ended up at a different hotel that was unsuitable for families. I was charged extra city tax that the team was unaware of, and this was forced upon me. The initial deal was misleading, leading to unnecessary payments.
