Wow, I wish this information would have been more readily available before the purchase of my luggage. TravelPro is recommended everywhere for their high quality and warranty they provide. However, the warranty is a complete sham! Like others have said, after a year, TravelPro not only makes you pay $25 +fees to ship replacement parts, the consumer is expected and required to replace faulty parts themselves. My bag came defective and because I reached out in a year and 4 months they won't send replacement parts unless I pay for shipping.
I would never recommend this company and am truly sorry to have had money wasted on a defective product and scam of a "lifetime" warranty.
AVOID IF YOU CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Bad experience buying from TravelPro. I bought a luggage under the impression that the “100 day satisfaction guarantee” works. The zipper quality was flimsy and wanted to return it ONE DAY after it arrived. I contacted customer service for a free return label but they stated is not eligible due to “final sale” items.
1. I never saw a final sales/no returns in the item listing before I bought it even if it’s discounted.
2. I went to their final sales page and did not see my luggage type on that page.
So there’s that. Apparently buy it at full price if you want the warranty, be prepared to go through days of customer service contacts and hope they don’t leave your ticket# hanging.

I ordered a hardside suitcase set (carry-on and large check-in), and upon arrival, both pieces had significant cracks on the exterior. This clearly shows that the hard shell is of very poor quality and not durable, as they didn't survive the shipping process without damage. When I attempted to leave a review on the company's website, I was unable to do so. It's evident why only positive reviews are shown. I am extremely disappointed and will not be ordering from this company again. Terrible product and lack of customer service transparency.
I bought 2 20” carry on hardshell suitcases. I like them a lot but after checking in one of the suitcase in, the zipper broke so I contacted the customer service via email. I have yet to hear from them after months. I probably will not buy this product again just because of this.
Purchased a backpack which broke in the same place after having already been replaced under warranty. It was still under the initial warranty from when I had purchased the original bag and was told that getting a warranty replacement would not affect replacing the new bag if that also broke within the original timeframe of the warranty. Zipper on the new bag broke in the exact same place less than a year in. Contacted Support, who stated that they did not know what was wrong with the bag despite the fact that the photo I submitted showed the zipper was clearly detached from the side of the bag, and I was able to stick my finger between the zipper teeth and the bag edge. They are now asking for a $50 shipping fee to send me a new bag claiming that shipping is not covered under the terms of the warranty. However, they did not charge me a shipping fee to replace the original bag. Given the fact that both bags broke in the exact same place, I feel this is a design flaw with the bag.
I immediately realized that I had ordered the wrong item. I contacted Travelpro immediately and was told by (very nice) customer service, that the item would still be shipped and that I would have to return it. This has made me rethink purchasing in the future.
My search for a good carry-on to use for both domestic and most international flights began a few months ago. This is getting more complicated as carriers revise their regulations to be more restrictive. By agreeing to TravelPro communications, I was offered numerous email and text discount offers. Once I decided to go with a Maxlite 5 Compact Carry-on Spinner, I compared online pricing from various sources. A direct TravelPro purchase, inclusive of free shipping along with a 15% discount, proved to be the most cost effective approach. The TravelPro website was well designed, and made it easy to select and order. The two pieces I ordered were received in two business days (beating the estimate of 5 at the time of order) and in perfect condition. Being a past TravelPro customer, I expected good quality, and the Maxlite 5s did not disappoint. They are full-featured, lightweight, well-made and sturdy, and I expect to get years of use from them.
