Truhearing has been great, up until the billing came in to play. The local director, Tana, goes above and beyond every time. Location is convenient, the receptionist, Maura, is great too. All of my inter actins with them have been great.
When I got my aids, Tana explained everything in great detail, and had an amount I owed, based on what my insurance, Anthem, would pay. My out of pocket was to be $2890, which I paid in full in late September. According to Anthem, the bill was originally rejected because it needed corrections from Truhearing and was sent back. The corrections were made, and Anthem paid Truhearing $865.63 in December. Per Anthem, this means I overpaid that same amount, and am due a refund from Truhearing. I have called and spoken to 5 or 6 different people, and am told they are “looking into it” every time. Finally, I filled a BBB complaint, and opened a dispute on my credit card. They responded to the BBB with a reply that made absolutely no sense. My credit card is currently working on the dispute.
I would have given Truhearing 5 stars, had this problem not come up. I would have recommended the company to everyone that asked where I got my hearing aids. This type of business practice, keeping money that isn’t theirs is very dishonest . I am due a significant refund. Due to this hassle, when it’s time for new hearing aids, I will go elsewhere.

If I could give them less than 1 I…

If I could give them less than 1 I would. I have been calling and calling. My insurance referred me to them. I have my appointment and ordered my hearing aids. Now they won't call back to say how much they are paying if any. This company stinks. Had to wait forever for them to call me and give an appointment. I would be better off getting my hearing aids somewhere else. How do they stay in business? I have filed a complaint with BBB.

Wish I had some reviews first

Wish I had some reviews first. I returned to the office where I received them after 2 weeks and said that I noticed no benefit to my hearing. I would wear them in various settings e.g. watching tv, talking with friends, in a restaurant and halfway through I would take them out and noticed zero difference. The office I went to supposedly reprogrammed them and I tried again for 4 more weeks. They were worthless. I chose TruHearing because my insurance covered them. I now have Rexon from Costco and immediately realized how poor the TruHearing aids were. What a difference.

Poor quality and not user friendly!

After much encouragement my 98 year old mother with severe hearing loss agreed to get the TruHearing aids. As a retired medical worker who has worked with patients who wear hearing aids these are not user friendly. The plastic is stiff and Mom doesn't have the dexterity to get them in her ears. When my brother who she lives with attempts to put them in, they fall out. They are rigid and have a plastic protrusion that doesn't fit in the ear! Thanks to Medicare "Advantage" product for taking advantage of people with medical needs through cheap product lines instead of affordable

I used TruHearing because of my insurance company. I feel like it is a rip off. I chose their premium hearing aids. I have had hearing aids in the past so I know what they are supposed to be like. The TruHearing I got were terrible. Premium cost for old technology. Their “premium “ line is pure junk.

True hearing customer service is very bad…

Bought some true hearing aids about 6 weeks ago. no 312 hearing aid battery size. Notice batterys not lasting very well at all. Checked with my battery checker. It is a button cell checker. All the batterys they sent check bad. Called them to complain. they said could do nothing about it. You suppose to get 3 years of batterys. now not only have to pay for high cost of hearing aids now have to buy more batterys. I would not recommend them. Service is very bad

BUYER BEWARE!

BUYER BEWARE!! These guys are CROOKS! If you get hearing aides from this company, you better hope the product is the correct one - even if the incorrect model you purchased was the one their rep told you to get. They do NOT offer any reimbursement, exchange or offer any help whatsoever. I now have no choice but to go to my state's attorney general's office with a complaint. Don't make my mistake!

Truhearing aids do not work and the company has failed to provide a solution.

I purchased the aids in August of 2024. Went for a check up with my doctor which included a hearing test. While there I requested a test with my aids. The results of the graph showed there was no improvement. I contacted the provider requesting a refund since the aids did not work for me. I was denied because I had missed the 60 day window for return which would have been in October 2025. My annual test was in January 2025. I went through BBB. Truhearing still refused to refund my money even though I had provided proof that the aids were not working. So I am out over $2000 and will be buying new aids from a different vendor.
