Great platform and educators. The value of the courses are okay in my opinion. Way less than going back to in person school and convinient. I had taken 3 different courses by 3 different teachers so far, and their curriculum are way better that what I expected. I even had questions after the class and the teacher was responsive and explained to me further about the topic I didn't understand. I get that it's not for everyone, you need to have a lot of discipline to be self-taught, and I think Udemy does a great job making it more accessible.Why I removed 1 star? Sometimes, the website is buggy and timeout and doesn't save the progress when idle. On the app on iOS, it takes a godly amount of time to download the courses to be available offline.
this is the worst training company ive ever come accross. they are a total waste. no one to contact when there are issues. i purchased some Data modeling and relational database design with Erwin course a year ago and now going back to complete the training , the viodeo is not showing anything . am i expected to purchase another one again
I bought a course and few days later they froze my account and told me they can't issue any refunds either! The costumer service was extremely rude. The only positive thing about her/him was that he was candid about telling me that they have stolen my money :)
Udemy charges 200 bucks for a "subscription" with the promise of "8000+" courses included. There is no clear indication of which courses are included and once you find one on-topic that has a format/instructor you're comfortable with, BOOM, it cost extra. Why did I give them 200 dollars if the classes I want to take have to be paid for additionally. Oh, and their policy is zero refunds except where required by law. Way to do right by your customers, Udemy. To everyone else, stay away.
Pathetic.Store card details and doesn't give any option to change or update cards. What kind the service provider does that.I am pretty sure that non availability of "change or update card details" is in clear violation of customer right to change payment details
i have emaild them about a bug on the website and the only anwser i have gotten back is a automated reply saying they are busy because of alot of tickets and today i got a automated email saying my ticket is getting closed for no reason this is NOT okay
My son just went to buy a course (CompTIA IT Fundamentals) he was offered at £16.99. Udemy changed the price to £54.99 and told him he didn't qualify for the discounted price even though he'd literally just signed up to buy the course. He's now found a course for the same qualification on YouTube for FREE. Greedy, scammy marketing tactics from Udemy have cost them the sale and probably plenty of others. 🤬
