My son just went to buy a course (CompTIA IT Fundamentals) he was offered at £16.99. Udemy changed the price to £54.99 and told him he didn't qualify for the discounted price even though he'd literally just signed up to buy the course. He's now found a course for the same qualification on YouTube for FREE. Greedy, scammy marketing tactics from Udemy have cost them the sale and probably plenty of others. 🤬
I bought 2 perfume courses and seen they were too basic after skimming through. It says on the site you can get full refund within 30 days. but they force you to have udemy credits when refunded so its a loophole where you cant get your money back. really sneaky and deceitful practice. avoid them like the plague. they are rip off merchants
Description in courses do not match what is realistics in the course. Udemy has no way to contact their instructors and their customer service is horrendous. With the amount of learning available online for free I'm suprised this platform is still running.
I purchased a bundle of three courses from Udemy to help me with my current career change. I didn't have the time to work on them for a few weeks so when I went to start them today, I noticed the site is telling me that the courses are no longer available. They're claiming they'll offer a refund, but this is not acceptable. The entire reason I purchased those courses in the first place was because they were all I needed and they were at an affordable rate. Now, I have to shop around for a better course site that offers courses on these topics which is also within my budget, thus further pushing back my career change (and costing me money in the long run).I will be closing my Udemy account after I get my refund and will not be recommending them to anyone in the future. Absolutely unacceptable.

Please file a criminal complaint against the managing directors Oktay Çağlar, Gagan Biyani, and Eren Bali. Please send an email to the San Francisco Police Department and file a criminal complaint due to the urgent suspicion of fraud. Also, please send a copy to the FBI. You can easily find the email addresses by searching for "San Francisco Police" on Google. There is an increasing number of complaints stating that funds are being withheld without justification.
Rubbish Scammer UdemyWhen I attempted to request a refund for a course I bought 3 days ago, I received a message stating that the course is not eligible for a refund based on my download history (i.imgur.com / m3Q9vQy.png). I want to clarify that I have not downloaded any lecture videos from the course as the tutor has set that all lecture videos are not allowed to download. Therefore, I do not understand why I am not eligible for a refund.Additionally, I bought this course on a public WiFi network, which may not have been secure. This could have resulted in my login credentials being stolen by someone else. I am concerned that this could be the reason why I am being prevented from receiving a refund.However, the Udemy customer service replied that "According to our system, this course was downloaded in a manner that violates our terms of use. As a result, and per our refund policy, your refund request has been denied.". Udemy just repeated the bulls*hit and refused to issue refund for me.30-Day Money Back Guarantee is a bulls*hit. Do not trust this scammer rubbish Udemy website !!!
Not only the quality of the courses dropped but also the instructors become very rude and disrespectful.Unfortunately, the legendary tutors there either left udemy to have their own platform or joined other learning websites. I say it's time to leave Udemy wish I could refund all the new courses I got recently.
