If there were zero stars, i would select that.If you have an issue like wanting a refund, you would be denied by Udemy, citing 'a significant portion' has been consumed even when it is not even a quarter per the progress chart. Once you attempt to challenge this, you are directed only to an AI bot with no email or contact number for a udemy staff member. This is the kind of service you will expect.

FRUSTRATED CUSTOMER

What a joke. I'm actually trying to purchase a course and for weeks I receive an ERROR message stating it isn't available every time I try to check out. There isn't a single human to speak with??? How are people supposed to participate if they can't even purchase the course??

Udemy is acting like a scammer

I recently purchased a course for 3500 PKR, but it turned out to be too long and had poor audio quality, so I requested a refund. However, when I tried to use the credits to buy another course, the web version asked for an additional $2. On mobile, the same course is still priced at 3500 PKR. It seems that mobile users are tricked into instant purchases, and their money gets stuck in the wallet, which cannot be withdrawn. This feels like a scam, misleading users with the promise of refunds.

Udemy - courses out of date - no human help

Issue #1 (July 1, 2024)Many courses exist, but you must be careful. Any courses dealing with software can be using an older version of the software (quite common) and it is no longer compatiable with the software thats currently being made available by developers. Several courses do not mention the version being used until you make the purchase.If you do purchase a course, open it immediately and examine the intro to determine what version of software is being used. If an older version, quickly request a refund, because the refund policy is quite rigid and time limited after the purchase.Issue #2 (July 11, 2024)If you do decide to enroll in a course, be prepared to understand there is NO HUMAN HELP. The course is just a long script that you must follow. If you run into a problem, they say you can post a question, but questions may or may not be answered. It will take days to get a response, if any.

My money was not refunded although the 30 days had not passed when I returned the course.

I paid my money to Udemy and when I felt that the product was not what I expected, the refund has taken more that the fixed period. I asked for the refund 3 days after I had paid.

Good accessible courses

I am really surprised with how bad so many of these reviews are.I have done so many Udemy courses which i have enjoyed and found usefulA lot of my IT certifications in RPA, AWS, Cloud, Digital etc were enabled by these courses. Couple of bits of advice:Udemy is just a platform for people to upload their courses to. I don't believe Udemy quality control any of them so check the individual course reviews. I have also never completed a tech course without an error in it. We are all human so just be aware.Watch the pricing. Only ever buy when discounted. It seems we are only ever a week or do away from a discount excuse. Christmas. Spring. Valentine's Day. It's raining. It's not raining. Just hold onTry and resist buying courses you intend to do in the future because they are reduced today. I've just signed into the app and I have loads there I have paid for but will probably never do as my interests have evolved. I have never tried to contact Udemy customer service so can't comment but I would not be surprised if it was understaffed. Too many customers buying so many discounted courses.

No support. Just a bot which doesn't answer questions. No way to be forwarded to a human either by the looks of things. No help with refunds for subscriptions.

Paid for courses I never received – terrible customer service

I have had a very bad experience with Udemy. I paid for courses that I never received access to. I have submitted three different receipts as proof – two from Den Norske Bank and one from the App Store – but customer service has been rude and unprofessional. Eventually, they stopped responding to my inquiries altogether.I have had to involve my bank to get my money back, as Udemy has shown no willingness to resolve the issue. I am very disappointed with how they handle their customers and would not recommend anyone to use this service.Avoid Udemy if you value your money and want good customer service, as well as high-quality courses.

The linguistics and sign production is inaccurate and poor.

The teaching is appalling. Their linguistic knowledge is extremely poor. A qualified registered BSL interpreter brought this company to my notice. I watched their clips horrified. Appalling mistakes in fingerspelling, numbers, sign production and information.Please do not use them. They are out to make a fast buck. I am a Deaf BSL user. I have Level 6 qualification plus Certificate of BSL Linguistics from the University of London and I teach Signature Awarding Body Accredited courses. If you choose a course, make sure it's a Signature accredited course with exams because courses like the one this company offers, are a total waste of time and money. If you want to get BSL qualifications, you'll have to start all over again AND work hard to unlearn the mistakes! I did not buy anything from them but I watched their clips and got more and more upset.

YOU WILL NEVER BE ASSISTED

While the individual doing the initial implementation was lovely, once that was done, no one would help you ever again. Anytime I reach out I am blown off. The program is too limited for our company's needs so we are changing platforms. Udemy will not give us an end date for our current contract. I have asked for a date multiple times. There is no phone number to call and no one is emailing me back. I HAVE HAD ENOUGH. If you are looking for a company with a humanistic approach, avoid them!
