I paid for the Microsoft Excel training and the videos are done by someone who barely speaks English. Their accent is thick and their grammar is awful so I can't understand most of what they are saying. Because of this, the training absolutely useless.
If I could rate Udemy zero stars, I absolutely would. Their customer support is beyond abysmal — non-existent, to be exact. I've been unable to access the course I paid for, and despite numerous attempts to reach someone, there's been zero response. To add insult to injury, they charged me an exorbitant annual fee without any prior notification. It's clear Udemy operates on deception and indifference. Avoid this platform like the plague; they're nothing but deceptive pieces of trash.
On 23Jul2024, I decided to try out Udemy by signing up for their free trial subscription. However, on 25 Jul 2024, I discovered that my card had been charged$240 for an "Annual Personal subscription" that I never intended to purchase. I had only considered a monthly subscription if I enjoyed using Udemy. It seems that Udemy automatically enrolls users in an annual subscription without their consent.Frustrated, I immediately searched for a way to cancel my subscription and found an option to do so. However, there was a catch - although I could cancel at any time, no refund would be issued. This experience made me realize that Udemy may be deceiving people by promoting misleading subscription plans to consumers.
Used this platform both as user and as content maker: I have no serious complaints as user, but I wasn't happy as content maker with the udemy fees and tech.support.Overall: as an average user - still returning to the platform when I need and cannot say anything bad about it.
I enjoyed the courses on Udemy, but their business model is fraudulent. They have a discount on, pressuring you to buy before the discount runs out - but there's a new discount already the next day. Just stressing the customer to buy.
