Bait and switch.A course was for $4 USD, logged in and bought it, and didn't really look at the price, as I didn't really think it will change. After buying it, realized it's $40 USD.To double check, I went there with another browser with no history, it showed $4 USD, BUT from the browser I logged into and bought the course, it was $40 USD.Avoid this website at all costs.
Price gouging gone to €£$20 instead of $£€9.99Of course udemy won't permit an account utilising incog mode to have the $£€9.9 price and no longer hire customer service just either v.a or chat gpt bots - udemy need to facilitate students to have their purchased courses sent to gdrive accounts or downloadable to an external memory drive and off their platform; some udemy instructors can provide cpd and or alternative professional accreditation certificates externally and for a fee.Very much disappointed in udemy sales ploys hiking of prices to three hundred - udemy takes the profits NOT the instructors Politically; udemy and others went woke so they should and ought to go brokeA new educational platform for right wing patriots needs setting up and the wokies can stick with wokie plats
I have been using my Udemy account for professional requirements and have reached out to the customer support today requesting to change my currency. I expected that the resolution would be quick but the customer support representatives has escalated my issue and mentioned that there is no timeframe. The currency was supposed to be in INR and my Udemy account shows currency in US Dollars.I understand that there might be certain policies and violations but especially for a learning platform like Udemy, they should take care of user concerns who frequently purchase courses and should address these kind of issue at the earliest. Otherwise, there is no value to their business.
Bad support for instructors. They have low level staff that have a process they follow without really caring or trying to understand the issue. They don't try to solve the issue, only to follow the process and they get automated replies. If this happens on the customer relations side as well, it's a hell.
Really unprofessional and inconsistent staff in their Trust & Safety section. They keep asking for identity verification documents and video testimonies that the courses are owned by myself. Despite providing all requested information.....and having them quote/forward that information in their emails. The still suspended by account and removed the login stating that I had not complied. Ultimately this behavior makes this platform untenable as a platform to develop content on.
Recently I bought a course from Udemy and course is removed from Udemy for some reason, asked for refund. But the money wasn’t refunded to my account. Asked support they said it’s refunded. Checked with bank it wasn’t. After telling them that I have not received refund, they stated it’s in your Udemy credit. If I can’t spend my money the way I want then it’s a big scam. Never purchase courses from Udemy.
There is no refund, no money back guarantee. Once you buy the course, you can neither change the course, no as for refund. I bought a python course on Udemy, but I found it very basic, I mailed them for like 10 times for refund but they kept saying we are working on it, but they never worked on it. Remember I was asking for refund just after 3 days. They don't care at all.
