The worst education website. I bought more than 10 courses and one day I visited one of the countries in their blacklist. After few days they suspended my account I requested for unsuspend for my account but as I already moved from that country they refused to unsuspend my account then I asked for a refund they decline the request as well. Very bad. I don't reccomend anyone to use it.
I've bought a some Udemy courses - only completed a handful though. It gets tiresome just watching videos. I just bought some AWS practice exams and after just 8 questions decided that they were the same questions that were on the ones by the same author on the video course I had just completed so asked for a refund. Lo and behold - I had violated some policy and Udemy decided not to give me a refund but a credit note. Now, would anypne in their right mind buy anything from this outfit again?
If it were possible, I would have given zero stars. My account got suspended after four years, and the reason behind it was my nationality. I have been living outside of the so-called "banned countries and regions" for more than four years and have never accessed any services from those "countries," yet my account still got suspended. I have even provided them the proof. I have lost over thousands of euros worth of courses, which is extremely frustrating. It is not acceptable to target individuals based on their nationality. Additionally, accessing users' data (especially their nationality, which is not required at any step of subscribing) violates the data protection rules.
I'm a Udemy instructor, and things went well for some time. However, the last two payouts were not credited to my account. I've been in touch with Udemy support for months! Awfully enough, they keep claiming that they are "investigating" and that the ticket is on hold. Factually, Udemy is owing us two full instructor payouts. Nobody on Udemy's side seems to care or to bother. This is a terribly unacceptable situation! Instructors, choose wisely if you are interested in such bothersomeness
My account is disabled and don't know the actual reason. Contacted policy and they told me the account has been used from some banned countries. I was and am in Australia ad never used it in different country. I emailed again and again and ask to enable my account and they don't answer my emails. it is possible my account to be hacked? possible! but asked them to enable it again and I will change my password but they don't answer my emails at all.
